My family, everyone has an entirely different language than me. They don’t really get excited about little things, or family activities etc. I don’t get little special surprises even though I do it for everyone else. Even a note… a little note. I leave notes for people all the time. They don’t really do the same. And that’s fine honestly, I get joy from doing it. But I guess.. it would be nice to feel wholly appreciated sometimes.

At my old job we used to have a piñata at our Christmas party. Our boss would fill it with candy and prizes. Some of those included gift cards to various food places/coffeeshops, gum, and even some cool keychains. About 20 years ago piñatas traditionally used to be field up with tangerines🍊, penuts🥜 , sugar canes, and a tiny bit of candy. It was exciting for all kids even though the majority was fruit. Fun fact: they used to make them out of a pottery made from mud/clay material. Then covered with colorfull paper, therefore when breaking it, we had to be careful with the sharp peaces of the broken pottery that would fall on our heads 😁
It’s so fun how Max is a mini Aaron and Landon is a mini Jared and their moms look so similar but they took directly after their dads lol Idk just a cool coincidence
