- Max sees color for the first time in his entire life! His reaction is priceless to the colorblind glasses. At the end of the day we watch the sunset and it is such a special moment. Max seeing color for the first time was such an amazing day!

If you watch the school supply video you can tell. At one point he brings up a purple binder and asks if it's blue and they have to show him where the actually blue one is.
My girlfriend is color blind and this makes me feel good and happy knowing that there are things to help

I’m legally blind and this just made me truly tear up how amazing!! I might have lost a lot throughout the years... it still fills my heart to see others enjoy seeing beyond what they could. Ps. For anyone reading... My comment is a genuine expression seeing this young man see things for the first time! I was born partially blind, I don’t know what life is to see normally and yes it sucks to lose vision and still life goes on being a mum (empathy is ok, feeling sorry for please no it is absolutely not for me). However anything is better than nothing. It absolutely does not stop me from saying to people look after your eyes nor from totally rejoicing the vision others do have! I was created just as I am for some greater good as I believe. We all have a life to live and it is up to us to live it the best we can! 💜

Seeing siblings excited, instead of jealous, over a brother or sister getting an item to help them is so refreshing. You both are wonderful parents and it shows.
The first time that Max says "It's beautiful", melted my heart. He is such a beautiful young man. To see him so excited is absolutely awesome. So happy for you Max. 😁😎🤓
I had a student in high school that kept getting Oxygen (green) and Acetylene (red) hoses mixed up. Ace gas is explosive and Oxy gas supports combustion (got to turn them on and off in the correct order). After figuring out he is colorblind, I went around and marked the stations with little letters so he and potentially future others can tell the difference.

When Jamie gave Max a hug that’s when I really got emotional! So happy for him! I had a uncle who was color blind and he used to wear his favorite “grey” shirt all the time and until one day someone asked him why he liked his pink shirt so much. It’s crazy to know that some people see the world differently. I really enjoyed you adding the way he sees the house compared to how we see it.

Max laying on the grass looking up to the sky started to make me cry… I can’t imagine what emotions Max was going through that day
When he was outside looking at the grass and the roses and laying on the grass looking at the sky and then that incredible sunset; well, for him to be able to see the absolute beauty of what God created is is just so wonderful and miraculous. And his expression. This is something he will remember for the rest of his life.

This brought tears to my eyes. My brother is color blind and many times throughout his life has been teased because of it. He would get so frustrated because he did not and could not see things the same way as everyone else. Two years ago on Thanksgiving my Aunt surprised him with these glasses. It was the most beautiful and amazing thing to witness. To get to witness my brother seeing everything in it’s true color, after 37 years, for the first time was awesome. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

Normally colorblindness is something one is born with. Not exactly sure how, but i suppose it has to do with the eyes not developing "properly".
Julian Hanssen the eyes perceive colour through a combination of rods and cones in the back of the eyes - if certain rods or cones don’t develop properly then people can’t see specific colours (since Max only has problems with blue and purple it will only be one of his rod and cone sets which is faulty). Some people have problems with all their rod and cone sets and that causes complete colour blindness.
@@julianbrisner4560 It's genetic, I think it's a sex linked gene on the X chromosome? That's why boys are much more likely to be affected than girls.

I'm not fully colourblind but there are certain colors I'm not able to see:
Yellow
Brown
Pink
Turquoise
Orange
Coral
I see all those colors as gray or black depending on how dark it is

Thanks for the the support guys my colourblindness doesn't affect anything that much but it can be frustrating at school when I'm asked for something like a coloured pencil but the other thing is I'm really passionate about art but I mix up my colours sometimes and make it look stupid

Watching in October, 2020! Max is so much older now and he doesn’t wear these glasses anymore but he put them on during his twitch stream two days ago and they looked so good!!

This is so heartwarming. I’ve never really thought about color blindness before even though my husband has a slight problem with blues and greens, and the shades thereof. We’ve always teased him a little bit but now I realize how much more serious this can be. My husbands never been tested and we’re both 65 yrs. old. Thank you so much for sharing this!! When he put the glasses on it made me think of Heaven. People that have come back from heaven they get emotional talking about the colors. We don't have them on earth like there. This is such a wonderful picture he gave us. My husband is blind in one eye and color blind in the other. My son, dad, brother are color blind...The glasses didn't work for my brother but I'm so happy to see this. God bless you guys!
