- Moving to Chestnut Hill Philadelphia - Full Vlog Tour Chestnut Hill’s main street, Germantown Avenue, is a treasure trove of shops, galleries, boutiques, home furnishings stores and restaurants. Stretching almost 10 blocks, the avenue boasts cobblestone streets and historic facades on many shops and businesses - all adding to the picturesque charm. Chestnut Hill is loaded with photo-worthy charm, Chestnut Hill is tucked in the northwest section of Philadelphia, just 25 minutes from Center City. Thanks to its location near Wissahickon and Cresheim creeks and Fairmount Park, this National Register Historic District enjoys an abundance of greenery and open spaces. Once a suburb where well-to-do Philadelphians escaped the city’s summer heat, Chestnut Hill saw an influx of year-round residents with the arrival of railroads in the 19th century. Since then, it remains a relatively affluent community with an array of historic mansions and Victorian twin and row houses.

Chestnut Hill is an amazing community! Lived there for two years, still think it's one of the cutest Philly neighborhoods especially for families.
Couldn't agree more! Such a great place to live and why not take a day trip there too!? Thanks for checking out our channel.
I live in Chestnut Hill my daughters went to Jenks school we love it out there. Now my daughters are grown and we all live in Las Vegas. You will love Chestnut Hill.
@Lavita Williams Awesome! Jenks is super for arts and sciences. Viva Las Vegas! Where in LV are you?
Stumbled across your video.
Im from Australia.
I was in Philly in 2013.
My uncle lives in Newtown square.
A massive house .
And my cousin in a trendy area called Queen Village.
Ill never forget the drive through the Kensinton area, that was scary!!
Hello Australia! Newtown Square is in the Main Line area of the Greater Philadelphia area (Which is all awesome). Queen Village is one of the top neighborhoods in Philadelphia to live and as you noted, very trendy. Kensington still has some areas that are rough. There is currently a lot of investors looking toward that area and rehabbing homes. It may look rough now but only time will tell if it gets turned around.
I’m 55yrs of age. I grew up in the Mt. Airy section of Philly which is adjacent to Chestnut Hill. Chestnut Hill has always been as beautiful as it is today.
Such a great area, no doubt. Thanks for checking out our channel!
Do you have any locations or topics that you think would be interesting to our viewers for a future video?
@@LivinginPhiladelphia Wissahickon Valley Park aka Valley Green. Well know place for recreational outdoor activities which runs through Chestnut Hill
I just looked at the park on a map and it looks huge! Not sure if this is many green spaces connected or if the entire spot is one park?
Great video, I hear a lot of wonderful things about chestnut hill. Thanks for the conformation !
Our pleasure! Are there any topics you would be interested in for future videos❓

Already took care of that neighborhood. Another unique and fun neighborhood of Philadelphia.
Still have those trolley tracks which the trolley doesn't run anymore. The Chestnut Hill train station east and west.
Yes sir, there are still some areas where they run. Personally, I like seeing them rolling by. 🚎
I didn't know that chest nut hill was this nice. I'm learning more than I thought about Philly from your videos. Great job.

My wife and I are looking to move to Philly from NYC, and are looking at areas with other affluent people. This video was very helpful for that purpose.

Is chestnut hill family friendly? We are thinking of moving there with our 18 month old.
Yes, it very much is. If you are looking for an area that is just outside of the city, this is one of the many great areas for a family. The Main Line is another area you should look into.
And of course feasterville
YES! thank you for this. Another one to add to our list :)
Hello how are you doing?
Are you looking for any interns to help you with your marketing?
We are always looking for more team members. email me your info and we can go from there.
Tell me all please
What would you like to know❓
I don't know for some reason I don't wanna consider Chestnut Hill part of Philadelphia It should be a town on its own basically call it upper Springfield township Montgomery County
I hear you. It is definitely on the outskirts of the city but still in Philadelphia County, which would be the defining detail. It is also well within the Greater Philadelphia area which is, of course much larger.
Not buying yet, got rent first to get to know the place...
Great point. If you do not know the area, we recommend visiting or better yet, short term rental in the area you are considering.
