Do you work with people wanting to rent, or buy only? I'm moving about a year from now and am interested in center city, but need to rent for a few years before considering buying.
@@thefuturist47 great question! And the answer is it depends! Please email me your situation: Chris@MeetChris.com! Thanks
You don't know a fucking thing about the city. .
I like those drone shots
Great review 💯
Thank you!
Thank you for your video!
You're welcome. Reach out if I can help out.
About to start my master program in Upenn this summer. Your video is really helping a lot, thanks so much
Great to hear!
UPenn/drexel area is one of the best in the city.
@@Jeegus21 That would be perfect! Looking forward to start a new chapter of my life in Philly :)
I was in town exploring the Roxborough area last week. I was more underwhelmed than i thought i would be. The new apartment building complexes were stylish and appealing to see. When i saw that high school right smack in the middle of Ridge Ave and after reading that school has the worst test scores in the country, it just looked like a big blob in the middle of town. BLAH.
Honorable mentions .... Manyunk, Roxbourough, West Mount Airy, Northern Liberties, University City, Fishtown ...
There are so many great areas of the city! I may make one massively long video highlighting them all in the future. Thanks for your contribution and thoughts!
Good list and yeah, Chestnut Hill. I thought I was at montgomery county but the street signs are the Philadelphia signs
Right, lol! It's nothing that "Philly" in Chestnut Hill!
You mention mainly home prices seeming for the purchase of homes, but not rent prices; do you have a video that goes into typical rents in the areas mentioned?
Hello, I do not. I would try to look on Zillow to see rent prices in the areas I'm talking about.
Despite the disclaimer in the very beginning, these views are Center City centric and therefore of limited value for a future Philly resident. Great neighborhoods include University City, particularly leafy Victorian Spruce Hill and Woodland Terrace; also West Oak Lane nearer to Chestnut Hill. A hidden gem is Gerard Estates in South Philly with it's early 20th Century Arts & Crafts homes
Hello, indeed there are lots of great locations in all of Philadelphia!
Are there any L-shaped studio condos or coops under 160K in these zip codes 19103, 19106, 19107, 19147?
I'm not interested in those small apts at the Arts Condominiums!
I grew up in the area and would love to return as a retiree.
Philly is great for empty nesters and retirees! I just recorded a future video about that this morning actually!
You won’t regret moving here! Please send me an email to Chris@meetchris.com and I’ll send you some great options for retirees.
@@livingincentercity Thanks, Chris!
What do you think about Northern Liberties in terms of safety and nightlife?
Hello, I apologize for the delayed follow up. This is one resource for determining if an area is safe or not: controller.phila.gov/philadelphia-audits/mapping-gun-violence/#/?year=2023&layers=Point%20locations&map=14.20%2F39.96472%2F-75.14747. Nightlife depends on the area. Some of the top rated restaurants in the city are in Fishtown which is right nearby.
Do you have rental agents working with you at all?
Do these neighborhoods also apply to finding good apartment complexes?
IMO, yes as they are still the best neighborhoods in Philly. But there are other great neighborhoods. IMO, anywhere in Center City is great but there are lots of great areas of the city.
There are other great neighborhoods but these are the best. Yes. There are plenty of phenomenal apartments. If you can, I'd recommend buying a condo in Logan Square, Fairmount, or a house in Chestnut Hill if you're not deadset on multiunit dwelling.
Is Scott Furman your father?
Hello Rose, no he is not. I don't know who that is.
The bell sound you use is so piercing. just wtf why
Sorry about that!
