    I have tried using Zbrush a few times, and I always give up because I just can't get past the controls and UI, but that might just be because I have used blender for so long. To me using Zbrush feels like trying to run a marathon with weights around your angles. XD
    I personally struggle to find any reason to switch to Zbrush, when, as far as I'm aware, blender can do more or less everything Zbrush can, for free. But I'm sure there will be people ready to enlighten me if I write this here, so this is your chance to explain to me why I'm wrong. =3

      lol I remember the first time I used Zbrush, I got out of there real fast. I eventually found a good tutorial to giude me. After 3 or 4 projects I was used to the the UI and now I make everything in Zbrush from characters to hard surface stuff.
      It's an amazing tool once you get a good idea of how it works. And it's insanely packed with features that make your sculpting experience fun and easier.

      It has a really good optimisation and you can make rocks and characters relatively quickly if you know what you’re doing. it’s ZModeler is kinda slow in modeling. But you can do a lot more detailing than in blender.

      I used to feel overwhelmed by Zbrush's UI and would often switch to Blender or 3DCoat for sculpting. However, after taking a course on Udemy, I learned the basics of Zbrush and was able to customize the UI to fit my workflow. Now, I find Zbrush much easier to use and can sculpt three times faster than I could in Blender.

      What makes Blender attractive is simply that it's free. It can never, ever produce characters like zbrush and is not as flexible as zbrush. Blender crashes at 30 million polygons, zbrush goes up to 1 billion polygons.

    • @ClassCreatives
      @ClassCreatives  Před 5 měsíci +5

      Definitely seeing some changes with the industry and pro artists using blender, however as you can see in this video AAA game studios and movie studios are still using ZBrush and the standard industry workflows for most of their character work. But there definitely are some good changes happening, it’s an interesting time and studios are always looking for what can make them big money, so you never know. But it takes a lot to change big studio pipelines, it won’t happen overnight.

      No big “industry” is using Blender, at the moment. If it does, its for small stuff. The pipeline is too advanced for Blender.

      Blender can never reach Zbrush level because zbrush isn't "true" 3d but is actually 2.5d which helps it reach insane high poly counts and advanced remesh and other complex mesh processing.

      @@James.Just.James. Agreed, I purchased 3dcoat a year ago because Zbrush was expensive. But it didn't click because the interface sometimes is confusing, but I still use it for retopology and texture painting. I tried Blender but I needed GoZ for CC4 so I finally purchased the 2023 perpetual license and It was worth it.
