I'm a US vet and many times customs treated me as less than a citizen. The great state of Texas was always warm though and the governors wise...thank you Governor Abbott.
"The wall" is a perfect microcosm of Trump, Bannon, and this grift we call their administration:
Mexico was going to pay for the wall, then taxpayers were going to pay for the wall, then the longest government shutdown in history was going to prompt taxpayers to pay for the wall, then military funds were going to be illegally diverted to pay for the wall, and then private donors were going to pay for the wall. Until finally - Bannon and others were indicted for scamming Trump supporters out of their money after which Trump pardoned Bannon.
After 4 years (2 years with complete control of Congress): Only 49 miles of new barrier were built. The U.S. Border and Customs reported the wall had been breached over 3,200 times and severely eroded.
And now pardoned-Bannon will be indicted again at the state level.
What remains today is a sad testament to one of the worst proposals/scams in the history of the U.S. government. If only the people who supported this could see it or care.
Save that pride for someone who would have stopped it day one and led by example in 21. Most of the Republicans and all Democrats are getting boxes of cash. Republicans are paid to complain and democrats are paid to do what they are told. The boxes stop then AAa-bot goes off program.

I’ve been in the green card process and have followed all legal paths since 2019, I’ve paid taxes, contributed to everything an American worker would and have been waiting for almost 5 years to obtain the actual green card station. This has costed thousands and thousands of dollars and then I see this, immigrants just flowing into the country…. Speechless.
