    Is there a reason you didn't bring along a water filter for the trail? It would have saved time not searching for water to buy and weight carrying all that extra water?

      Good point! I had watched several youtube videos on the ride before I left and no one ever mentioned that water was an issue. I had a filter but didn't bring it. Thought there would be plenty of places to find water along the way. It's no problem on the GAP but C&O is a little more secluded. Not leaving home without it on any future trips! We actually used every single bottle I carried in on the last night between cooking 2 meals and just drinking them. You learn something each time. Thanks for the comments.
