    Thanks man, I just replaced mine with old oem injectors which were brought on ebay and refurbished through some guys in Cornwall! All in all it costed me £160 and your video saved me £200 ❤ from 29mpg the car has shot upto 49mpg on the dash. Though I know the car computer is not accurate but definitely is showing huge improvement.... Plus the car is more responsive now, it used to struggle on reverse but now it's smooth.. 👍

    Did my injectors today and I think it would have been easier to unclip and remove the fuel rail rather than trying to pull them all out with the rail attached. Of course that method would make a huge mess, but I spilled gas everywhere anyway. The injectors were in there good tho... I had to pry the rail up with a screw driver in order to get them out and it's easier than I would like to bend the rail.
    Got everything back together without leaks and my fuel trims look like they should now (no longer always highly negative).
    Thanks for the video!

      So I have found that there are two clips that can fit over the green one. One is the white one (16725-RNA-A00) and a slightly off white/grayish one (16725-RAA-004). The white one did not fit my 2006 Civic but it does look identical to the one in the video. The light gray one did fit mine because my fuel rail has the tab below and not above like the video and thus I couldn’t get it to go around the 90° turn on the rail.

      @@awayfromk Swapped my spark plugs on my 09 civic since Im experiencing hiccups while stopped and jerky acceleration while going 40 mph, was gonna swap fuel injectors but it seems that didnt work for you. Did you manage to find out what was wrong with your civic? Im been reading that it could also be the coils causing the issue.

    • @awayfromk
      @awayfromk  Před 3 lety +1

      salvalo22 I did install new spark plugs recently, my car was idling really poorly and even having a flashing CEL - replacing the spark plugs fixed that issue (my plugs were pretty burnt out) My civic now is riding fairly good now, I’m going to do a valve adjustment soon since I’m very overdue for that and I heard that improves engine performance greatly so I would try that for your civic. I tested my coils a while ago and they were fine, they’re still OEM but I also had a mech look at it and said they’re fine too.
      Are you still experiencing issues with your civic now or did the spark plug change help you? I feel like me changing my spark plugs fixed the shuddering issue I was having or the “hiccup” motion it was doing.

    • @salvalo22
      @salvalo22 Před 3 lety

      @@awayfromk Replaced the spark plugs as they were in pretty bad shape and thought that was the main problem. Issue went away for a week, now its back. For some reason, dont get a flashing CEL when experiencing the hiccup and my mechanic is not willing to repair anything else until the light turns on. Cleaned the MAF too and no luck. Was reading on the civic 8th gen forums to swap the PCV valve as that could also be an issue and if that didnt work then swap the coil packs but that option is a bit expense even tho they're easy to swap. Did you only experience the hiccup while idling? I feel it sometimes when driving, not sure if its a misfire but recently added some injector cleaner too see if that would help but no luck so far.

    • @awayfromk
      @awayfromk  Před 3 lety

      salvalo22 salvalo22 Yeah I only had the flashing CEL because my civic was misfiring so badly due to my plugs being so worn out but hey it’s good that’s not happening to you because it’s not good to let your car misfire that badly. I would recommend changing your PCV valve for the hell of it and see if that helps, it’s easy and a cheap install (just have hose pliers at the ready) Sounds odd but how I tested my coils was just buying a new pair, seeing if my issue was fixed or if my car performed better, if not then I knew my OEM ones were fine and I returned the new coils I bought. I experienced the hiccups around 50mph when I would hit the gas, it’s like my engine was shuddering and struggling to accelerate but it was brief. Hopefully you can find a fix, it seems it’s a struggle with 8th gen civic to troubleshoot idling/performance issues.
