      Totally! It does seem just right for this application, as it would be hard to run this giant frame through the tablesaw on a jig ;-)

      yes, loved that too. i think we may add to the idea a quick jig to center on the frame corner ;)

      Truly creative use of the biscuit joiner. I forgot the one guys name, but he uses a biscuit joiner to make dados. He starts it where he wants it, then just runs it down the entire piece for panels and such.

    Since you had the space might have considered a french cleat. BFM for one bearing point.

    • @kevinnathanson6876
      @kevinnathanson6876 Před 4 lety +1

      I was thinking the exact same thing, and in fact I've made a mirror almost like this one _with_ a french cleat running the full length of the top. It wasn't until the end that I realized he designed it to _lean_ on a wall, and not hang.With it leaning, then the french cleat wouldn't work-well, unless you jiggered with the cleat angle VERY carefully. Another benefit of using a cleat is that the bottom can't swing away from the wall, as the angle of the cleat keeps it pressed firmly against the wall at the bottom.

    The author does like to from scratch, czcams.com/users/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. As another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us don’t have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we won’t be able to practise the full stack project, is still great.
