- UberEats in San Francisco game over
People have been asking why is it slow on UberEats? Things are changing! Different time of the year. Holidays. Empty hotels. Less people spending money!

I , like many, have stopped ordering delivery because fees are outrageous and the deliveries are usually incorrect, late, or cold.
I like these little update videos because it gives a real-time indication of how economic conditions are changing. I guess inflation and cost of goods, fuel etc is having an impact on people being able to afford ordering takeaway food? Maybe they are buying ingredients from the grocery store and trying to cook food more in bulk to save money. Not sure.
SF has been really busy lately, but I think it’s great for the city. I’m originally from NYC and recently moved to Berkeley, CA. It is really slow paced and not as busy
To eliminate the competition, what about starting your own delivery/courier service? You can deliver anything that fits on a bike; food/groceries, office supplies, documents/contracts, dry cleaning, miscellaneous items left behind at a restaurant/office bldg. etc…
Sounds like a good idea but I wonder how much red tape and paperwork and fees this city may force one to comply with before ever getting started.
As a side hussle, not a corporation. 🤫
Gas prices are insane for uber eats. Also inflation and high costs of things are crushing middle class
Frisco was poppin with bike messengers in the 90s. I seen a couple fist fights Crack off cuz there were no bike lanes and the people were rougher. I miss the 90s.
I miss my 200-300 dollar days
I am in Northern California. Tonight was my worst night in 4 years. Never has it been so slow. I live in a college town. Usually the Asian students order no matter what. In 3 hour period from 6:30pm to 9:30pm, got 5 orders. It's Saturday night, I saw a lot of people at the Super Market, getting ready for July 4th. Usually, it's a big night for families to order pizza and Asian food from the nice areas. Only orders I got tonight were International students. I really hope this is not the trend
I feel like you could do a video where you talk about the rules of the road specific to SF. like tips and tricks and shit to look out for lol. cuz i live in SF and i want to bike around but i feel like there's no bike education
that sounds like vancouver couriers in the 80s. all bicycles. fast pace. some lulls with them hanging on the steps and stoops.
Don't kid yourself has nothing to do with the holidays, people are broke especially the younger generation..
If they had anything available on the credit card they would definitely be ordering food but they already probably hit their Max for the month.
Definitely saw big slow down and eateries down here in Southern California only a few customers at peak times. It's only places like along the coast or the very wealthy areas that you see restaurants full might be times because those people have money.
Exactly i dont know why delivery drivers aviod this obvious answer
@@computerlearingchannel4257 Economic downturns have very little effect on the Bay Area. The lack of business has very little to do with the economy and is mostly caused by folks leaving the city for holidays. Everyone either travels or goes to their second homes and it's been this way for year's.
@@vanzarockin there less orders cuz customers have less money to spend. Cuz of this administration
27 👍 Interesting content. Thank you for the reality check, Jermaine. Morning in Union Square, “My sweet little sisters, birds of the sky…”
UberEATS got rid of Walker mode and did something to the algorithm, so orders come in different. Been like this since early May. Also people are getting off of COVID benefits, so theyre forced to find income like gig economy. The job market and the economy is in a big slump, alot of people losing money to the stock market so they can't be at liberty to order as much as they used to from gig apps.
Great video. I kinda noticed the same thing when I visited SF. I'm from Miami and this is how I also feel. STOP COMING HERE PEOPLE.
I did that out there last night on my manual scooter and got 4 calls
If Uber eats does not restrict the number of contractors in your area, you will often see dramatic fluctuations in individual revenues.
“Make caviar great again”
Excellent video.
Why is it slow now? Are there other apps that are taking over the take-out delivery service? Does this mean that people are not ordering meal deliveries? Sorry for so many questions, but I would like to know.
Postmates used to pay 3-4 dollars per order, which is atrocious. Uber bought them out and now they pay PM rates, where it used to be 7-10 dollars per order in Vegas.
After Uber bought Postmates it has went straight down hill here in Washington state Uber eats was really good before the merger
Lol , I was considering moving back to San Francisco too. Currently I’m in NYC . How is it now over there ?
Yooooo Jermaine!!
I would not do uber eats when you have to pay 20% in fees PLUS tips. ON TOP of rising costs for food, gas, and inflation.
Way to be real. Much respect
I like how chill the pigeons were.
I can't get over the birds....just chillin'.
Doordash in car huge orders nyc bjs grocery stores etc I got a pizza order in the bx 27$ for 6 miles
27 for 6 miles?
@@901cali yup doordssh In the car has become top competitor Uber eats once in a while

Jermaine, know gal in Jersey City, NJ who is Uber car driver..Plan B?
15hrs=$500ish
How about the other apps, are they slow too?
They're all slow. It's dead! Time to accept the economy isn't great and no one wants to pay for overpriced food anymore
All the apps are slow!
UE, DD, GH, CS all slow right now in NYC. I am making a little $ on IC and Roadie. I used to do moving and Ikea furniture assembly on Taskrabbit, but no longer partnered. I'm about to advertise my services on Craigslist. Super Slow!!!
@@TheOfficialManuelBurnett what is CS and IC?
Did it get better as of October 2022?
Nope
Uber eats in the city walking is dead lol
Comment
Powell st. Market st. Is dead.
Delivery fees are now much too high and the delivery is never correct. Therefore, I like many stopped using the apps.
So , Do not move to Frisco !
Don't come over here!
