    You said something that I learned early doing uber eats and I've done it full time since March. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR MILES VERSES PAY. If it doesn't make you at least $1.50 per mile ITS NOT WORTH IT!!! Add on orders are bad about this
    Edit: I forgot to add...when you drive enough you will have an idea of which area gives good tips and which ones don't. This matters because a lot of people don't include tips or like to add more at the end of the delivery. If you're going to an area that's not big at tipping, then you need to also factor that in because once you drop off you're going to be stuck in that area.

    It’s insulting when I see one order that I only earn 2 dollars and no tip, no matter how short the distance is, if the minimum fare is 2 dollars for a short distance, then I expect minimum of at least $2 tip, so 2+2=4, if I see an order that is less than 4 dollars, I reject, just let these customers wait longer for their food to come or maybe never.

      Yes they are able to tip bait on Uber eats. They have 1 hour to post the tip and the customer can add or take away during that time and there’s nothing you can do about it even if you have 5 star service and have video proof, it doesn’t matter support will just message you saying they have reviewed it and the posted too amount was reduced by the customer and is correct remember that tips are not guaranteed. That’s literally the message they always give after someone tip baited you. I try and still report the customer for it reguardless bc I feel like if they do it over and over again they should be banned from using the platform

    Been doing Uber eats deliveries since 2017 I have a 97% approval approval rating. I totally agree with a lot of what you're saying. People that pay the least and order fast food complain the most. They will hurt your rating. A couple years ago you could make $500 a week in Houston without working very hard. Uber has gotten greedy and has way too many employees. I can't even come close to that anymore it's just not worth it.

      @@amandajohn6513 Find the hotspot near good restaurants and park in the shade. Learn how to suspend deliveries while you are on a delivery. Wait till you're finished to turn back on. You might want to wait till you get back to your hotspot. Remember, if a delivery takes you out of good areas you'll have to come back. You'll learn from experience some restaurants are very hard to acces and parking may be an issue as well. Some deliveries require you to enter high rise apartments or complex apartments and you'll have to find your way out. This takes time. If there is a valet at the restaurant or the the apartment building they will direct you where to park. Much is just simply learned by doing. If you reject 4 or 5 deliveries you may need to close the app completely, exit and then sign back on. Uber punishes you if you don't take deliveries by simply forgetting that you exist so you have to remind them.

    • @Gignation
      @Gignation  Před 2 lety +7

      They do have some in app insurance but it’s only while delivering, between deliveries you are not covered. You are also required to have personal vehicle insurance, if you do not have your own policy uber will not assist you with their coverage. A bunch of big insurance companies started expanding their coverage for rideshare and gig economy drivers during the pandemic, so you should be able to find something beyond standard vehicle insurance at a reasonable price.

      Usually the first 3 months of the year are slow for most industries due to people having spent so much in November and December for the holidays.
      Things pick up around April due to people getting their tax refunds in. And people are going out more now due to the restrictions from the pandemic being lifted in most markets.
      Your market has a lot to do with your earnings. If you live in a big city you’re more likely to earn more than someone who lives in a smaller city. I live in a college town but travel to a big city that’s an hour away cause I make more there so it ends up being worth it for me

If you deliver in neighborhoods with a lot of families or in a downtown area you Monday dinner orders are probably gonna be higher than Thursday or Friday dinner when some families might eat out or people downtown eat from places below their units. you dont get the offer until the restaurant tells the app the food is ready. I know this doesnt always work out, but they wont necessarily be starting the order when you get the offer, it should be ready by then if youre close to the restaurant. If the restaurant tells the app the food will be ready in ten minutes, it will give the offer to a driver about 10 minutes away. At least im 90% sure that's how it works.

    Lol, you answered my question in video. The only issue is, every single offer I got today, which I didn’t accept all of them was under $1 per mile. Like one offer was $5 for 9 miles with tip included!! Idk what’s going on. Best part is I accepted an offer that payed $8 with predicted tip included. I actually made less because person didn’t not even tip. It was like 15 miles!

    I'm curious to anyone who sees this comment. What city are you from and how much do you make?
    I live in Vegas. Monday to Thursday I average $26 per hour, and Friday to Sunday I usually average about $32. This changes if I get a good Walmart batch order. I usually try to be by Walmart when they release the orders since I have figured out the times they send them out

      @@DennisJordan.com. there are multiple people making that kind of money. You are not taking Into account I figured out the schedule for when Walmart releases their batch orders at 4 different times throughout the day. At least once a day I will get one that at pays at least $65 and as high as $110. And depending on miles you can get it done in about an hour and a half to 2. Before you speak like that maybe you should take the time to understand your city better. It took me a while to get to this kind of money. Maybe I’m dumb but I accept nearly every single offer I get. The only ones I don’t accept are for a restaurant on a military base I can’t access. My issue is I never get consistent orders anymore and tbh I think the more you accept- the higher your level is (green gold) etc. the more requests you get. If I get consistent requests I never make below $20 and hour. I just blindly accept and go go go. But it also could be my location! I’m in Washington state in a suburb which have a 1.3x boost everyday. But there’s so much more drivers now it sucks. There are more drivers than there are customers in a fast food place usually lol

I didn't no the address where I was to deliver to was showing on that screen. So I picked up the order. The app showed me the restaurant name, the customer and the order. That's all. No address. I ended up calling the customer to get their address. Now the app still shows me sitting at the restaurant. I make the delivery but the spp still shows me at the restaurant. I'm wondering if my internet connection was bad. I ended calling the help line to get compensation for the delivery. It was a flat rate with no tip. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks
