How to change rear brake pads on a gy6 150 cc chinese scooter - Jak na to + styl
ive watched close to all your videos & i very much preciate you for making them.. just a little less repeating when trying to explain things in different ways but dont have many words to help explain that different way. we understand you my man, no need to stress yourself over a few words! GREAT JOB & i hope all is going well for you.
Thank you for watching my videos
On my 50 cc, I had to remove the muffler and deflate the tire to get the tire to come off. I have a 50 cc TaoTao.But this video told me well. Very clear and thorough.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I'm glad the video was helpful for you Happy riding! 🛵👍
Hello from Reșița, Romania! Nice job with this tutorials! Good job!
thank you for this !
i would just take the muffler off. this is way to much trouble trying to get the wheel in there without breaking the muffler. most new people will mess up.
i have a chrome muffler and pipe i total remove the muffler cause there easy to break. best advice. if you get grease on the break pads clean with break cleaner and use a fine sand paper and you'll be good.
Very detailed and helpful video...mille grazie. A couple of comments: you should take the opportunity to repack the rear wheel bearings since you already have the wheel off; you should replace the rear wheel nut and torque it to specification with a torque wrench; and, the o-ring you refer to is actually a retaining clip.
Hello Rudy thank you for watching my video Grazie mille and be safe
Did he have to actualy remove the internal retaining clip (o ring) or could he have left it the whole tome
Super helpful thank you!
Thank you for watching my video :-)
Great video men, you save my life bro
Hello my friend thank you for watching my videos

You make the work look so hard
Thank you for watching my video
Last time I did it backwards , I put my shaft in the o ring and now I have a daughter.

Great my friend thank you for watching my video
I want to know about grease ing the back and front brakes some say you can and some don't noticed you didn't do have grease the brake pads and where
salute
Thanks for the video,,,,,what size tires are on your scooter?
Hello William MMG Tire 130/60-13 amzn.to/3F5f34r thank you for watching my video
I know this is 5 years old and someone may have already said this, but deflating the tire some should help with removing the wheel without removing the exhaust.
Great suggestion my friend and thank you for watching my video
Hi can you send my a video of how toe replace rear wheel bearings
Next time is better without the exhaust, is easy to remove a put it back. Thanks for the video I'm going to change mines soon. New subscriber here thanks.
Hello Vega yes you are right I was just a little scare to break that old and rusty exhaust by removing that .
Thank you for watching my video and by subscribing
@@VirberelloScooterTips also, if your exhaust gasket is likely old and crusty and you do not have one on hand, your method may save another trip to the scooter shop for parts. My greatest concern would be the weight of the exhaust hanging from the case bolts.
That's not the way !!
You *must* remove the muffler/exhaust pipe as a whole: only 2 nuts at the engine;
Thanks for your videos, we can see everything.
Hi Virberello, how do you service or replace the back wheel bearing, mine is making a grinding sound from the back wheel every rotation. Looked for the video but did not find it. Please help
Hello Stanley on the left lower rear side of your scooter you need to remove the clutch and behind that you have the gear and the bearing but the before you need to drain the gear oil . Thank you for watching my video
I have an icebear Maddog I need help taking the fat rear tire off. Any advice
Hello John I love the icebear Maddog unfortunately I'm not to familiar with your scooter but I see that your tires has 4 bolts and will be easier if you have a impact wrench and there is a possibility that you need to remove the exhaust system to have a little more room to remove the tire out. Thank you for watching my video
hey, just one question.. is that ok to run about 80km everyday with a chinnise scooter? 40km to work and 40km to home? I have not had a problem with it in 6250km now... Its a Serpento Hydra 150cc... Thanks!
Hi Dennis wow that is a long ride everyday the scooter is going to be ok but just keep an eye on the motor oil and your tire pressure . Thank you for watching my video and be safe on the road
***** thanks for your reply! Your videos have helped me a lot, so thanks for that too!
@@dennisnavarrete2675 any updates 5 years on? The only thing I'd add is learning to install a new cylinder kit. If yours has no mods, it's running lean from the factory, lean means It'll run hotter and wear the piston and rings sooner. Long trips accelerate this process.
how hard is it to remove the muffler it seems like you're struggling for about 5 minutes or more putting on and off
Hi my friend not to hard I think 10 minutes but my suggestion to you is not to remove a 10 years old muffler that is rusty and fragile because you can break it and you will need to buy a new one right away ah ah ah thank you for watching my video :-)
OIC okay well mine was fairly new and I'm learning a lot from you keep up the good work on the video also I like the way you approach things is very down-to-earth like a typical guy would do
Thank you Michael
In fact I'm just getting into the to cycling Wheel World and I'm seeing and learning from you as far as the oil change and gear oil change especially that video help me change my scooter gear oil exactly as you said just squeeze it until it overflows
You sure is a video on how to change the rear brake pad but what about flushing out The Dot 3 brake fluid is it recommended especially what's called bleeding correct
what the flat rate cost for doing this job viberello
Hello Pedro I can not really say because is long time I'm not going to a mechanic I doing everything on the scooter by myself but I think a shop will charge you from 60 to 80 dollars. Thank you for watching my video
Hi
What size is this brake
Rear Drum Brake Shoes PAD GY6 150CC Scooter 105mm(4.125") amzn.to/3MiWMFH
"O ring" = bushing/ cir clip. "Be gentle" as he struggles to get the wheel off. Still, a good video.
Thank you for watching my video
Heyy, my tire won't come off the shaft. Any ideas on what to do?
Hi spray little silicone lube on the top shaft and tap the shaft with a rubber mullet
Thank you for watching my video
It didn't budge, is the shaft supposed to rotate when I spend the wheel? It's like the wheel has a grip on it
Nvm
Is the exhaust too hard to completely remove???
U literally have only 2 more screws
Yes you right 2 screws that strip very easy and they are very fragile and connect on a low quality metal motor on a rasty low quality exhaust system my friend we leave in a free world you can do what you want but if you follow me you will have less problem with these scooters thank you for watching my video
Mine is way bigger than 7/8th
All of that just to change a brake pad. Couldn't they have made it a little simpler
Ah ah ah you are completely right
Virberello be careful with that drill, you can really hurt your wrist. Use an impact when you can, yes, I know you know, but save that wrist for the throttle.
Hello Boccaccio thank you for watching my video and yes a nice impact is on my toy list to buy ah ah ah
someone tell this guy a socket nomatter what size it's a socket ,not a socket wrench the wrench is what the socket goes on to remove the nut
Thank you Gerald and thank you for watching my video
Leave him alone, bless.. His English not best but he's so informative. N it's just a gy6 guys, they can take a battering, trust me 😁
Great video, but on the rear wheel after you removed the bolt, the next part was not an O-ring, it is called a C-clamp/ snap-ring.
O-rings are used to provide a seal and are usually made of rubber. Snap-ring are used to lock something in a position and is usually metal.
Hello MrGreenelight I say O-ring to see if you was pay attention to detail :-) ah ah ah yes you are completely right that is a c-clamp Thank you for watching my video :-)
Those look like break shoes not pads...
I don't recommend you take your back tire off without taking thr muffler off...Bad idea...
Hello Darious good recommendation my friend but my recommendation is do not touch or remove a rusty exhaust or it will follow a part . Thank you for watching my video
There Not Pads....They are called Shoes.. Shoes are for Drum brakes...Pads are for Disc brakes.
Thank you for watching my video
I would have just removed the wheel it would have been easier.
