- Hi, I filmed this program directly from my TV screen and holding the camera on my hands, so sorry about that. However I uploaded it because I thought it would be very interesting for us, magicians, card collectors or cardicians in general :) to see the manufacturing process of those decks we all own and love, made by the USPCC. I would loooooooooooooooooove to work with them!!!
I'm not monetizing with this video in any way.
Another interesting videos related to the USPCC:
- • Travel Channel Visits ...
- • Video - Zábava
Billy has been working there for 42 years, it's no wonder I never get hired there
12:03 - A deck of 52 cards contains 2,598,960 five-card poker hands, but only four of them are royal flushes.
The design of the Jokers looks like a King on a bike, huh?
You could read U.S. Patent 1,811,322 to get started on developing an opaque paste suitable for making playing cards.
And here I thought that the opaque black glue, called "goop" according to something I once read, was an essential part of making playing cards, so all the companies making quality playing cards would do that. Of course, some really cheap playing cards aren't made that way, but other major companies like Cartamundi would have to do an equivalent. Come to think of it, though, I do remember reading that Cartamundi used an opaque plastic layer between the cardboard layers instead.
Thank you for uploading this
The United States Playing Card Company is not only famous for the Bicycle Playing Cards, but the company is also famous for other playing card brands like Bee, Aviator, Hoyle, and specialty playing cards.
Bee has a great, casino quality stock that's thick, sturdy, and durable. Aviator, while lacking the same kind of dimpled finish as the other USPCC products, is perhaps their best-handing card: they're durable, they're slick, they shuffle and fan with a breeze. Hoyle, while nice-looking cards, have a rather thin and flimsy stock that makes them prone to bending and creasing really easily. Maverick is okay, even though I find plastic cards inferior to paper (and smellier too). Streamline is their worst.
Amazing! I have never seen this on! I'll watch that channel more from now on, cya
Now I know how playing cards are made. 😀👍

When you walk into a playing card factory, you must present your ID to the security guard at the door. Also, you must pass a lengthy background check and you must have a good credit score to enter.
Site a source or this is bullshit. No place that I know of on the PLANET requires a credit check for entry. Employees are one thing, but for a guest, that's a violation of privacy.
Man, how do I get a job there...?
James Kung you have to know someone/family

Seems like employee turnover rate is very low, since the lowest years worked I heard were 5 and the highest being 42. I guess they will call me back eventually when a spot opens up lol.
The turnover rate is crazy high !
