@@RK1FX uhh correct me if I'm wrong, but the base 5.0 gt gets the wacky manual and the Mach-1 gets the manual trans from GT350, which is considerably better.
We just got to drive our neighbors GT 350 the other day that was probably the funnest ride of my life other than my dad’s 911 turbo S that he’s getting on order

I have a 2019 Bullitt, which is nearly identical to this car (Mach 1 replaced the Bullitt). The dash is somewhat nicely configurable, 3 main tach modes and plenty of colors. I am lucky to get to drive this as a daily driver and it's a bliss.
@@richardnavratil9661 same here.. can't wait till I get my throttle controller on my 2019 California special.. the lag is horrible.. it's embarrassing when I want to bust some donuts and the throttle is a half second behind my petal movement.. but otherwise it's totally Intoxicating to drive..

What many here will not understand. A Mustang doesn't have to be fast, it doesn't have to be an acceleration monster either. A Mustang is a pony car and pony cars are for cruising and anyone who doesn't understand that hasn't understood the term pony car.
I believe it should go fast but it doesn't have to rival a 911 on a racetrack. I bought one because of a few simple factors like enjoyability, value for the price and just the fact that it's a manual 5.0 V8. Pretty unique in current times especially in Europe.

And also, when I say a Mustang doesn’t need a stick and goes well with an automatic, people do not understand.
Mustangs were originally built with automatic, and it’s what it’s meant for : cruising with style to your weekend location on the coast, overtaking easily but not dangerously and a great sound. All the diehards going « manual, it needs manual » well, you didn’t really pay attention to the Mustang’s history and what it’s for.

The American market has expertise when it comes to V8 engines as their whole industry was developed on the back of a V8 structure.
In the 1960s even a family car would have had a V8. I bought a V8 Saturn 20 years ago and still drive it today just recently had the engine rebuilt and the interior restored and the car overhauled and it is as nice to drive as any modern Audi with a V8.

Normally the Mach 1 isn't all that special outside of naming convention, but seeing a manual with a high revving V8 is damn near extinct, my position is open for persuasion. 👍
Adding to your statement, the european Mustang mach 1 is particularly pointless since it doesn't come with the extra power and you can't get it with the aggressive double deck front splitter and rear spoiler. You don't even get the cool gauges in the centre where the air vents are and on top of that it's quieter than the American counterpart. The mustang is still a lot of car for the money in europe but mach1 isn't worth the huge price premium

The Mach 1 is definitely the nicest, and best bang for your buck performance wise I think. And I own a 21 Gt performance pack, if I’d known the Mach 1 would be coming and have the A10 option with that paint scheme, I woulda waited!

I am now living in the US (am from Czech) and own a 2019 Mustang Bullitt (the Mach 1 replaced the Bullitt after 2019-2020 models). It's virtually identical to this car. The car is amazing to drive and absolute joy. Nice 6spd and fantastic exhaust sound, those are all the reasons I live driving my Bullitt on the daily basis. Sure gas is expensive now here too, but I consider myself lucky being able to still enjoy a high-revving, 480hp 6speed beast.

Bullitt is a great car, but that Tremec from the GT350 in the Mach 1 will have you wanting to trade in that Getrag 6-speed.

I currently have a V8 RS5 and I am thinking of getting a V8 Mustang. Already have a F150 and Ford Saturn with V8.
I never would have anything like that in my home country of the UK.
As a chevy guy i can safely say this is my favorite ford ever(The mach 1 series not this model in particular)

Except that they don t care about European market. While the US receive tons of Mach 1, in Europe you need 18 months to get one. I know cause I ve ordered one and eventually cancelled the order because the prod has been pushed out multiple times. I had friend in the US who got their car within 4 months! I now drive a Porsche! Fuck Ford
@@skyhawkheavy7524 that depends on many factors, with the supply chain issues we have today any car takes a long ass time to build.
That being said, my dealership told me 6 months back in December 2021 so perhaps you got unlucky.
I didn't buy one because I wasn't willing to make a leap of faith since they didn't have any Mustangs available for test drive.
The last gen focus is also a great leap compared to previous. Sad we cant really buy the Mustang here in Europe anymore.

I've had my 12 mustang 3.7 Fbo to 156mph. Terrifying. The newer play form is so much more stable then the s197. Great vudeo
Only downside is that you won't reach 180mph with the 6th gear ratio. It's great for daily use to save some fuel but that makes 260kph your topspeed at the end of 5th.

@@vobrasolo the wheel torque is still gonna be ways off from 5th gear. It's gonna feel like you torture the motor instead of acceleration.

When I was a teen, we drove on the Autobahn ~ my Dad Dropped the Ball by renting a Fiat sedan ‘BOX’ w/ all the Sleekness of a Cement TRUCK and with all our luggage strapped onto it’s top [4 people’s worth : Dad, Mom, Sister and I] & his foot HELD non-stop on it’s gas pedal…, we were maxed out at 115-km/h..or..71-mph. I still remember a Black (of course!!) Porsche 911 zoooommm past us like we were in REVERSE..!!! Finally (in 1978), got a trip through Europe & we’re stuck in a Damned Slowest EVER P.O.S…Fiat! @@Eldomibori yes, pretty much. You'd have to either change the gear ratio to make it useful for acceleration or supercharge it to have enough torque to somewhat go faster.

welcome to EU emissions standards. Particle filter and new noise regulations make new cars boring. The new 992 GT3 sounds pretty amazing though, but obviously that is a way different story.
EU Version still sounds so much better then every European sports car in this price.
@@vladimirg134 Even outside the low price region you'll have a hard time finding anything that sounds this good. Even the AMGs are not as nice and loud sounding anymore. And with some legal custom exhaust it'll be even better.

Mach 1's are the same price as Camaro ZL1's here in Canada.... 480hp vs 650hp supercharged, no comparison. Problem is trying to find a ZL1 here!! Both awesome cars and sadly, the last of the great V8's, Challenger included of course.
650hp sounds pretty weak for a motor that size Supercharged
@@grahammcleod6205 that's the 5.0L Mustang in this video. I mentioned that the Camaro ZL1, 650hp is the same price in Canada as the Mach 1 5.0L naturally aspirated Mustang featured in the video.
@2022 Mach 1 I'd take a ZL1 over a Mach 1 for the same price. That said absolutely, I love Mach 1's as well. It's just that there's Mustang's all over, they're so common. It's for good reason too, the 5.0 Coyote is an absolute masterpiece of an engine. I'd have a Mach 1, ZL1 and Challenger 392 in my garage if I could afford it lol.
I realize that, I own a coyote. 650hp from a supercharged 6 liter isn't very impressive.

You don’t by a Mustang to be the fastest because you won’t. However, you drive a new Mustang and you will not want to get out of it. Of course I’ve poorer another 70K in mods on my 2020GT 10speed auto which now does 100-200km/hr in 5.8 sec!

That's not that fast. I was checking on my kitten in the back seat at 180km/h. Granted Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keep Assist were on.

Yeah the launch control isn't great in the manual, seems to bog down hard every time. It should let it rev higher.

One of my dream cars is a original Mach 1 Mustang and C3 Corvette with big block. Few years ago, I saw one for sale for 100k €, it had 9 liter engine, black paint, lots of chrome and side pipes. Too bad I didn't have money to buy it.

The 6th gear is literally only for fuel consuption which is a shame.
There's like 1 place on earth where you can get to those speeds. And even there you probably won't reach it.

I prefer it this way. Since 5 liters eat a lot so during daily use a long end gear is nice. And going faster than 260 for extended time periods is not really common anyways.

You really need to learn how to launch manual gearbox car... That is not launch control and automatic to let go the brake! You are letting clutch WAY TOO FAST AT VERY LOW RPM!!!!! No wonder you have that much lag

No
Yes, basically all bullitt internals with the exception of the massive upgrade of the Tremec 6 speed from the discontinued Shelby GT350 instead of the shite MT-82. Also some additional cooling and bracing from the Shelby as well I believe that the Bullitt doesn’t have.
@@ndgriggs8 sounds about right, the Bullit wasn't performance oriented or something - if anything it was more comfort oriented with those even longer gears and the smaller rims.

Well, this is not Twinturbo V8 with 750nm of torque at 2500rpm. You have to rev the beast.

Well this is a 5.0. If you want a bit more torque down low you can get a 6.2 camaro but the mustang is an absolute roll monster. If you are able to keep it above 4k rpm, it’s extremely fun

6th is an overdrive gear, notice as soon as he switched to 6th he lost speed? You will get top speed in 5th.
