      Migraine Craftsman are you legally allowed? Im very confused... so you are saying that if i buy a property i can design and build a house by my self however i want, size, materials i use, spans? Do i have to check in with anyone, city/county before building ? Thank you very much, im very confused in preconstruction/designing processes. Also it will awesome if you can arrange your content properly, name your projects and put names in the title somewhere so everyone could find easier the video They want about a specific project. Thanks a million!

    I've said it before and I'll say it again: I love the way you prioritize things, and that you don't skimp on insulation. A quiet house is a blessing.

    • @MigraineCraftsman
      @MigraineCraftsman  Před 4 lety +3

      I love a quiet house, one way to add sound deadening to a house is carpet but I am not a fan of carpets since I discovered vinyl flooring. I also like insulating interior walls that also makes a difference and that is what I am going to do here.

    My favorite builder!!!! I hope I don't have to wait for a build in HEAVEN from you.. I really want to live the rest of my life in TN & find my hsppiness & peace I long for. I have the no cure immune condition Morphea diagnosed in December that causes so many things, painful skin spots that look like bruises & 6 MEDICATIONS to try to slow the progression. My dog got sick & hasn't touched her food in 2 weeks & went blood, so will need another vet visit, she's 5 & WAS healthy, & my car is leaking oil post a nasty neighbor encounter.. So I KNOW ABOUT HEADACHES!!! I would live in a cardboard box in the woods somewhere about now just to release some stress.. But no mattee how if it's a tiny house, RV, I'm not fussy.. Being safe & happy is more important than anything else.. That's priceless!!! Being disabled isn't fun & nor is trying to get an innocent animal back to health. Watching your amazing work & sincere KINDNESS gives me HOPE 🙏

    You're by far my favorite youtuber. I actually had a pretty popular comment on a forum and had 500 people come check out your channel.
    Where I live people are constantly pricing the locals out by house flipping old rotten homes. For 900 sq ft it's around 180k for a house from the 1890s.
    You've given me a new goal to save up money and do it myself. I can't wait to build a home for my family and maybe do this myself one day to help the community out!

    I am so sorry that you suffer with migraine headaches. I suffered with those all of my young life up until I was 19 years old and they are terrible.
    Every so often they come back I found breathing techniques help me tremendously. Instead of suffering for 4 to 6 and 10 hours usually takes me about one hour or so to get the migraine headache to go away just by breathing exercises. I just wish I knew the exercise when I was a kid. Because migraine headaches absolutely debilitating

    I had terrible migraines, some lasting months on end, for over 30 years. I then cut out refined sugar and processed foods/drinks from my diet and the migraines stopped completely! I I have been free for 5 years now and have never felt so liberated (I also lost over 30 pounds). Sodas, milk shakes breakfast cereals will screw you up. Check all the products and if it has more than 5% sugar DONT EAT IT!! Eat mainly whole foods, plenty of vegetables and reduce meat intake. You will also find your taste buds become more energised. Try it, what have you got to lose except your migraines. This is the best advice for anyone suffering like I did. Good luck and great channel.

      @@MigraineCraftsman I would NEVER think that!! I have done the same with my spinal cord injury from my fall in 2006. From the surgery, cortisone injections, nerve ablasions, nerve blocks, acupuncture, message, & hot tubs feel the best temporarily. Supplements & herbs, essential oils, cupping that are like jars that are put on your back that suck in your skin to remove toxins..& the conventional medicine that keeps me at least walking & talking without wanting to hide in the house... Like I'm doing with the rest of the world anyway. So I absolutely UNDERSTAND what it's like to just WISH for some RELIEF!!! I wasn't ready to accept I have to live with this either & I used to have a normal life!! There's so much I MISS!! I can't run or ride a horse anymore, swim not like I could, no long drives without a break, or walking or sitting..some things so simple like if I looked up a tree at a darn squirrel nest that used to build every year b4 it finally got cut down.. Looking up I could truly see stars & black out.. So it's a big NO. A tens unit or dry needling was NOT for me either.. It hurts instead of providing any comfort. Your blessed with a gift to do what you do!! Your homes are amazing and with my dog still not well I'm thinking TN more & more. I just ordered a trail camera so I can get some proof of what's going on in my yard!! And you don't need to have the internet at home!! Prayers there is something you MISSED for them migraines!!! 🤞🙏

    Nice to see more on this new project of yours. Ever think about using advance framing on your houses? Might not be worth it on the smaller houses that you build but still like to hear your thoughts are on advance framing.

    • @MigraineCraftsman
      @MigraineCraftsman  Před 4 lety +1

      Honest opinion I am not a fan. Studs are spaced out too far apart and if you manage your construction site well with minimal waste you can get very close to what advanced framing has to offer with regular construction methods.
      If you watch future videos notice there is little to no wasted lumber with these guys. They are awesome. Most are ex military, main guy has done this for over 40 years now.

    I don’t want to lock you into any real numbers or anything. But my wife and I are passionate about moving back to a large piece of property in our hometown to raise our son. We have a septic and well on site, our foundation in the north will cost about 15k... rough numbers... what might a 720 square ft super simple single pitch roof 2 bed 1 bath cost? Bath floor and kitchen floor must be finished and the bath must function according to local ordinances. Other than that, bare bones will get by. I have a background in cabinetry and finish work so I will be taking on some of that slowly. The local inspector is willing to work with us. Your thoughts?

    • @MigraineCraftsman
      @MigraineCraftsman  Před 4 lety

      So tough to answer without knowing the project, and how much you will do yourself. If you bust your arse you can get it done for 100 square foot everyone talks about with humble finishes but that number is very hard to hit now a days.

      Could you share material and labor separately? 2x4s are not so expensive. Looks like 5 or 6 people framing 3 days gets the framing done...maybe another day or two for roof trusses and sheeting.
      How much of this could be done by just two people? Might be the only way a lot of people EVER retire.
