Yes, Michael, we had gotten Father Ted on our PBS (Public Broadcast System) station years ago, along with so many other British classics: Dr. Who, To the Manor Born, Are you Being Served?, Vicar of Dibley, Rumple of the Bailey, Benny Hill, etc. PBS has been importing British programming since at least the 1960s. Public television stations are known for no paid advertisements, but there are periods when they do fundraising to keep programming on air.
So so sweet for this Sunday morning---a real life children's, ie, adults, tale with magic and charm and super brick work. Thanks, Michael, for bringing us such joy.

Oh, NZ!! I love you from afar . . . quite far . . . Southern California, USA. Y'all all in the winter doldrums. We are roasting & praying for our neighbors to survive the many wild fires. Our youngest son, his precious wife, & their good friend, had a dream vacation to NZ for Christmas & New Year's, just before everything shut down due to Covid. They had another international trip booked & paid for. Eventually got full refunds, after months of hassle. Anyway, son & DIL decided they would research moving from Seattle, Washington, USA (the city they chose as ideal for them) to NZ. Our son did extensive research. Learned that due to each of their professional & educational qualifications & niche job possibilities, young age (29? 30?) & excellent health, they would have a very good chance of being accepted. Then Covid hit. 😢 They have not mentioned it since. But although they've traveled extensively, & thought about trying for 6 months in Scotland -- my husband's ancestry traces back to at least the 1100's in Scotland -- & kids' love for that country, NZ stole their hearts. They hiked on rocky hills, & green hills, rode horses, kayaked, I think? Don't even know all they did. Blessings & send you 🌞.
