More backbone, but fewer issues with bird nests? Don’t rush the bait caster. Keep it fun for her. Another suggestion from someone married 51 years. If she needs a break make sure she is comfortable. Do what i did for my wife and daughter, invest in a toilet seat for a 5gal bucket and keep it on the boat. The bucket can double to hold supplies until needed as a toilet
