I've pieced together a nice little collection over the years down here in SE MN with occasional rockhounding trips to the Mississippi and sporadic trips to Lake Superior but I'm still after the elusive 1lb-er... I'm beginning to wonder if the awe and draw of this hobby is going to lead me into a major scuba gear and rebreather investment! Something I cannot afford. Lol
Nice! You prolly know this already, sometimes relaxing the pressure on the left side wheels (Cab King) can help reduce the fracturing as well. Takes a little longer, but definitely less fractures.
Im noticing my cab machine is leaving scratches on the crystals from the diamond cut metal blade but they’re not coming off form the other stages do you have any advice?
Agate Dad I went to Michigan this past weekend and looked all over from the keweenaw Penn (copper harbor) to grand Marais and barely found any agates :( searched for a total of over 8 hours, I have a feeling I wasn’t going to the right beaches. Do you have any recommendations for beaches…?

I don’t believe the cabking produced the fractures, that’s from the saw and natural fractures from their history.
