When water started to form on the early Earth, it was actually green due to all the minerals in the rocks that formed the planet. It wasn't until the atmosphere formed and rocks called stromatolites (rocks coated in photostnthesis-capable microbes that essentially ate CO2 and "excreted" oxygen) emerged that oxygen filled Earth's atmosphere. This oxygen cleared the green water and turned it blue. It wasn't blue from the beginning. Nor was the sky, it was a murky air.

Great vid. I was considering buying US2, but thought to myself that there is no gameplay, just fooling around, so I was inclined to not buy it. However, as a history teacher, I can see educational value in what you demonstrated. It would be much interesting for the kids to show the creation of Solar system in this way, rather than just talk about it.

6:00 I noticed that on that simulation it said that the earth was exceeding 5000 degrees C, though after doing a bit of research, during the Hadean Eon, temperatures were around 1650 to 1850 degrees C.
For the Americans, 5000 degrees C is 9042 degrees F. 1650 degress C is 3002 degrees F. 1850 degrees C is 3362 degrees F.
