IM FROM STATEN ISLAND...i just started watching these videos a couple weeks ago so i coukdnt believe when i saw the title but i can absolutely confirm this guy existed. We have 1 camp ground on the island and the woods are connected to the area behind the old childrens with disabilities home and the cropsey story was always told in different variations at the campsite and every kid whos ever camped there knows ths stories and lost many nights of sleep of camping. I eventually got older and just thought it was bullshit as most stories are ans then qhen i found out he really existed i coukdnt believe it. Still so much mystery and different theories revolving around cropsey and the associated crimes

Got an idea for the pod, since it’s coming up to Halloween you could do an episode about weird cults and their origins for eg. The Manson family which was obviously a cult that’s main premise and belief was that George Manson an American criminal was the next coming of Jesus

It’s weird cause I’d watched the slasher the Burning whose killer is called Cropsey way before I’d ever heard of The Staten Island Cropsey. So when people talk about that Cropsey I always think of Cropsey from the Burning.
