The other thing with "fair play" they never discussed was the "big club tax". When City got bought out, all the media kept pushing was how much money the owner had access to. Then we see...just like Utd n Chelsea, when City gets linked with a player...extra "tax* gets put on. Then the rules want to say that City's owner can't put in the extra money for the extra tax because it's not what the club "earned?". 🤨 Really? Fair play my big toe

My thing with the “over-inflated” stuff is, whether or not Villa inflated his price, some club still has to be dumb enough to pay the price. If Chelsea or any other club does their homework and still find the price to be fair, then it’s just that 🤷‍♂️

Arsenal's Raya situation is different. It's like getting a Foster kid you love that also earns you money or getting a Foster kid only for the money. Arsenal wanted Raya last summer, so like every club does signed him on loan instead and then if it went wrong they could always just send him back. Chelsea are teaming up with other financially unstable clubs to get out of their mess like actual cartels. This is all an accounting trick whereas what Arsenal did was just say "we don't want to risk breaking PSR or FFP, can we make this a loan instead?"
That United situation was very different. It was because of COVID. It wasn't purposeful.
When people see someone signed a player on loan as it's better financially, no one gives a crap because it's something everyone does in every walk of life. United being fined a few hundred grand because of COVID no one cares about.
Literally having 4 clubs working together doing dodgy accounting to avoid financial breaches acting like a Cartel is an actual problem because they overspent by a lot and are now not facing the consequences. Arsenal avoided it entirely doing something completely fair.

What red cartel? You do realize that Manchester United have been dreadful since PSR and FFP came in. Arsenal went through 8 years of struggling to spend and selling all our players. Liverpool only won their first EPL in 2020. Meanwhile you have smaller clubs like Villa, Chelsea, Everton and Newcastle teaming up and doing dodgy accounting like a real cartel. Arsenal, Liverpool and United have done nothing but stick to the rules, rules that limit all 3 clubs from spending shit tonnes of cash. The rules are based on sustainability. The issue is for the small clubs is it means they can't get lucky and be bought by rich owners who take them to the top. These rules actually make the Premier League competitive, it keeps the big clubs and small clubs closer together. The issue is the owners, you pump money in and most of the time it just takes you backwards (look at Everton and Chelsea), you do what the Kroenke's did at Arsenal, FSG did at Liverpool, Sir Jim Ratcliffe is doing at United, Saudi is doing at Newcastle. Play the long game. Aston Villa's rise to the top didn't work because they spent so much money getting there they are incredibly unsustainable. It's a journey to the top, you can't buy success like City did, signed the best players and manager freely while clubs like Arsenal were suffering under the rules. Either Manchester City are guilty and they committed fraud and many other crimes and most of their staff will go to prison and their former and current players are suspended, all these rules don't stop small clubs from becoming big clubs.
These rules don't stop small clubs from becoming big clubs, the biggest issue is actually players wanting to go to bigger clubs. Liverpool and Chelsea swooped in for Macallister and Caicedo taking Brighton back 6 places. Chelsea, City and many others went in for Leicester's players after winning the league. Financially Leicester and Brighton were comfortable, same with Southampton as well, bigger clubs went in for their stars until eventually they ran out of young talent to develop and sell on for a profit. Newcastle as far as we know are doing what they're doing legally, people wondered why they need to sell this summer, it's because they spent around 200 mill last summer on flops that took them from 4th - 7th.

Cheer on while they destroy democracy. Ignorance is really bliss?
And it’s not just Man City of course. It all started with Chelsea selling out to Russian gangsters.
Buying success with dirty money is dirty success, it’s as simple as that.

I'm still laughing at arsenal going after Another first team GK after old matey got them to 2nd place for 93% of the season.... then proceeded to waste recourses and time on another first team GK only to do worse. 😂😂😂

If you’re going to bash a player, bash the player. Don’t suddenly make it about club accolades.
