I am struggling with insomnia for years and this song helps most of the time. It reminds me of feeling we had and gives me hope there is more of love and life for me. I wish the same for him to. Hauntingly beautiful song! 18 years ago, I lost one of my lil’ bros, same age as Nick Cave’s son, it was absolutely devastating, but you learn to live with the loss, cherishing the good times shared, and happy memories.
This was our song. She was my everything but now after 5 and a half years.. Here I am. Broken. Alone. I tried everything. I wish I could hug her one last time. Kiss her hands one last time. Sleep by her side one last time. Look into her eyes one.last.time. I have no idea how I am going to live with this but.. Whatever the case maybe, ending your life is not a true resolution and surely not what that person would want. Be happy that you were able to feel something so passionately, so wonderful if only for a little while; that someone is able to have such an impact on you, to bring such sadness is itself a blessing. Thanks to my supportive family and friends I was able to see a new future for me. Now I work hard for my dreams so that one day I can be in a position where I can help people in need. I saw this movie so much as a child. It’s very nostalgic to me, 2 years ago the night before I left my hometown to go to college I listened to this song & started tearing up, I started thinking of how important it is to me

Wish I could send this to someone that I love but I cannot break his heart again. I hope he is happy and forgotten everything and someday may understand why I had to push him away. He is having a baby now, as I learn my health is getting worse and I know he is better off not dealing with someone he loves getting sicker as a disease tears apart everything he loved. I know I made the right choice for him but I still wish I could be by his side. Worst thing in the world is having the best times of your life be the worst and biggest regret of the one you loved most. If you ever see this, I'm sorry and I will always love you.
