Zeri fired 5 Qs in that skirmish, and Guma dodged 3. He dodged the first one with Flash (and dodged Aatrox's 3rd Q as well), then side-stepped the 2nd and 3rd one (all while weaving AAs during it).
Wats crazy about it is that, if guma didn’t pull this off, zeri will take over the fight and the outcome will be completely different. It will be JDG 4v3 after killing guma!

We deserve to see this roster of T1 win Worlds at least once (before they disband since it is likely). I became a League player after tha SKT dynasty and I have been a fan of faker since 2017 so it was a really difficult 5 years since. It was fine when you guys weren't on top, because my expectations were low. However, last year was the worst, because yes they were the favorites all the time and they were close all the time, but that's just it, they were only close.
Same here, long time fan. For some reason i was not worried about going against JDG today. I am although worried about WBG. Their skill ceiling is scary, and we don’t know if they have reached it yet.

Can't have a more painful period than having the best team in the world for already 2 years but no mickey mouse international or worlds to back it up.

As a Korean American watching this video, I can totally see why NA are at the level they are at in the Pro scene. A lot of plays that the teams were making seemed confusing for these guys but for Korean commentators, they had opposite view points for alot of situations, for example, when Xayah took Bard's portal - Doublelift and co thought it was a misclick and he must've tried to eat the fruit. But the way Korean's saw it is that JDG were in a really bad spot about to get sandwiched by Zeus's Aatrox. They made the decision to turn on Aatrox which is how they got the kill. It would have worked if it weren't for Faker's TP to bot tower after got zoned out to mid. Even in game two, Doublelift and co thought Kalista was a bad pick but Korean commentators were scared of that pick and what that would do against T1's comp that relies heavily on Ashe arrows and early game lane success. But as you saw, Ruler carried the hell out of that game. Just saying it's funny to watch these videos after watching a bunch of Korean content haha. Still love my NA boys
This is a really great insight - I also thought Ruler misclicked for that portal. DL thought it was JDG having a quick turnaround but it makes more sense that it was a play to push back the sandwich. Problem was Kanavi went down to 1/3 hp and Faker comes in fresh on a tp, plus Ruler had to use Xayah ult early to make space. Do the Korean commentators have Eng subs? If so, sounds like I should be listening to them.

It's both kinda insane and awesome how the past couple Worlds tournaments have proven that even if you make an omega super team stacked in every role it doesn't guarantee you the finals. Never in a million years would I have predicted that Weibo would make the finals let alone semis. Something about T1 this year feels so much different though from last year. They seem genuinely motivated and focused on winning and not nervous or emotional at all. Keria said in their post game interview that last year they were really excited and emotional after their semis win and making finals. This year they are just focused on each series, practicing, and studying their opponents.

It’s crazy how no media ranking has any individual T1 player at top 1 or even top 2-3 at their position at worlds but time and time again they have shown to outperform on the international stage never losing a series to LPL is insane and taking out the 1 seed last year and this year (since T1 hasn’t found success LCK). Last year they were favorites and we thought the semifinals was the real finals and obv we remember that heart breaking loss but great plot for DRX. This year they learned their lesson hopefully. Go T1!!!!

@@newblogful Doublelift has a shit ton of pro play experience, probably more so than most other pros. He knows what he's talking about. Champions like Kalista and Jhin are niche picks viable in very unique circumstances and even then still harder to execute than just ordinary hypercarry adcs. It's an undeniable truth that those are overall not stellar champions, but they do have their spot in unique setups and playstyles.

I feel like Zeus can really pop off and gap, but his mental used to be a lot weaker. T1 lost a fair number of games the last two years from teams shutting him down, but now look at Game 4. Playing Yone when he knew he'd get ganged up on, holding his lane 2v3 against a fed Ruler/Xeri, and delaying important recalls for a game-changing fight. Guma is insane, and has been for a while, but Zeus has turned into such an amazing toplaner the past few years.

You do realize that this support meta, that T1 pioneered this tournament and forced everyone to play, is one of the biggest reasons why T1 is in the finals right? Keria is the undisputed best support in this meta and it is T1s best playstyle by far
