Love my 87' Suzuki Samurai, that I bought last year!
I had one of these with same engine, but we need some better engine and me and my dad put 1.8 from vw golf mk2, and it is perfect for him. It's gone take some timeto put them into it but our samurai is never go better then now, so if you want replace his stock engine, replace him with 1.8 gaseoline.

Where’d you find a soft top like that?
I really like the car and I need something small for utility and short offroad ranges but i dont know if 1.3 is enough. How much fuel does it consume? Im thinking about either Uaz469b or Suzuki Samurai I like the Uaz better but it consumes ton of fuel
But to mount the 1.3 on the sj410 you don't have to change the hood? did you do a body lift?
