The early 2000’s were a special time weren’t they;)
yes they were
That was my era
Indeed they were my friend🙂
Yes, it was
the best era
I swear to god, the last time I saw this show at all was over a decade ago on toonami, and the bit of singing that starts at 1:00 to this very day echoes in my mind from time to time. Idk why, but I constantly find myself humming it at random times.
Dude, thats what brought me here. Remembering just 30 seconds of song that just keeps on echoing.
Same here my G! Shit goes hard!
Its 2020
Same haha the middle school days
Same; I literally started humming it today and had to find the song. Hard to believe the full vers. of this song is almost 10 min. long lol
same bro!
Best anime ending theme to be played on toonami ever.
that and heart of sword from ruroni kenshin
EclipseHedgehog Besides ruroni kenshin, because it was so main stream back in the days.
Duck Wizard uuuuh, too hipster to like ruroken soundtrack **. I still think is one of the best choices for ops and eds ever.
+EclipseHedgehog tell em!
Duck Wizard HELL YES
remember when toonami used to play shows on weekdays after school. pepperidge farm remembers
I remember that and I remember that the schedule was different every friday
I remember the pepperidge farm and shows like code lyoko which wasn't an anime.... good times before they changed/replaced it with some woke-ass shit that nobody liked, then tried to cram spongebob into it... which nobody but dumbed down wokeists liked.
I remember having a choice at one point between blues clues, anime, or spongebob. I went from a talking to blue dog to a woman putting slugs in her mouth to solve the problem of algernon and/or to summon betterman.
looking back, I can tell I made the correct choice.
Those were good cookies though. I should get some, they still make them.
Da faq
Lol
I remember that too
Remember being a child and literally sitting through an entire episode of Cyborg 009 just to hear this.
This is one of the first songs that got me into anime openings and endings
The full version is very good as well.
Same! This song, the Rurouni Kenshin opening song, and the Dot hack sign opening song were like pillars of my childhood haha
I used to do that for the TMNT movies back in the 90s. This show had an incredible ending theme that made the show a little bit more interesting.
I love these Song
PERIOOOODT!!!! 💯
The drawing styles for these characters was such a breathe of fresh air from the usual stuff they were making at the time.
1:00 the feelz...
Nostalgia it burns 😭
Fistagon777 that was the one piece of music that rung through my head my entire lifr until i rediscovered Cyborg 009
yup couldn't remember for so damn long where this was from
It was great
Ayel ikr and then i brings tears to my eyes because i just unlocked a piece of my childhood.
this show was the first anime I EVER watched at the age of 6 or 7 and helped spark my lifelong interest in Anime and Japan in general
smarshallmaverick same this was my first anime I saw on toonami as a kid I’ve been hooked on anime since
I hate these Worst Times
This theme and singing have been in my mind for a very long time! Incredible that I’m not alone!
Once upon a time i thought this show was a dream because no one i knew remembered it! All i could recall was the greek gods arc, the twin cyborgs involving electricity, the bald ones backstory, and something about dinosaurs and people living under the earth, and of course i remembered how catchy this ending song was but never the full beat just the part at 1:00 till the end, but so glad this wasn't a dream!~
Ramune Icepop ME TOO!!!! No one remembers it
Man I love stories like this I'm so glad you rediscovered it!
Mines worse all I could remember was something about god they were named after numbers and there was an episode with a large house and something to do with a girl's husband
I only thought it would be too gimmicky (for whatever that means to my mind when I was a child). But this ending song was stuck because of that one time.
You took literally everything out of my mouth. Especially the part of the song that I remember.
It took me about a decade to find this and I'm so glad I know I wasn't crazy.
Best ending I've ever seen in my 26 years life
+AyaNatsu05 I knew...I love this song...
AyaNatsu05 Hands down my fav ending song. It was actually the 1st Japanese song I've ever heard :)
Like you but Im 24 years old
28 years elder with ya
My favorite of all times ❤️
I searched for YEARS for this song and I finally found it!! The first time I heard Japanese. I had to be about 10/11 when this show came out; I am now 31.
Damn you old.... And you made me realize just how old i am too 🤣(30)
@@Kevin-ez4or If I didn’t feel old, I do now! 😂😂😂 The good ol’ days with toonami!!!
I know the feeling that singing from 0:59 was all I could remember and didn’t even know it was Japanese thought it was random sound as a child
@@phadedhd1529 Same!
Listening to this song gives me such feels. I'm actually tearing up...ugh so many good memories
i remember this show because of how catchy the ending was when i was 8
I know, I used to run to the TV and watch Cyborg 009, Rurouni Kenshin, YuYu Hakusho, Outlaw Star, Big O, and Cowboy Bebop.
Those were my shows at home, and I would MURDER anyone that tried to turn the channel.
XD
Man, I wish they were back...
man i want to go back to this age
We all do the good ol days 😭
It wouldn't matter, we only appreciate these kinda of memories after time has past. That's why this song resonates with all of us who grew hearing it as a child.
Same
Count me in
Hard to believe Toonami played a cut version of this ending theme.
I love this song, it's the only ending I don't skip. Ever!
SAme ere...They dont make em lik this anymore
I Know everything is getting worst because of Progressives
The song is called Genesis of Next and its by Globe.
0:42
It hurts knowing 0013 won't come back.
He would have been a great addition to the team
Same thing is hurting me since my childhood 😢
Cyborg 009 is like the robotic X-men.
1:08 damn had this sound stuck in my head til I finally found this
I do remember watching this series on Toonami in 2003 middle school days
Took me half a decade to realise this version, the TV-sized ending theme of Cyborg 009 is a different mix compared to original Genesis of Next. I like it, if only other animes can have this distinct difference in their themes. I suppose globe specially made this mix for Cyborg 009.
Wasn’t really a fan of cyborg 009 but the ending was fire and me and my best friend at the time would jam tf out to this
The last 30 seconds of this are so perfect
Here’s to all the people who had no idea this show even existed.. just remembered the ending song playing in my head.. I just found it by chance looking at old intros for Toonami. Nostalgic 😌😌
I remember that too like it was yesterday and now I'm 26. There was a lot of amazing shows on Toonami and if I can go back in time in my early childhood growing up with his in the early 90s-2000s I'd do it. Yuyu Hakusho, Zach Bell, MAR, etc.
Woken Red Pill For reals bro. I wish I can re live those moments watching Toonami without a care in the world.
Wow the song's such a banger, nice thing i just remembered it^^!!! Should try and see this anime again, i was really i child back then and can't remember much....
Damn straight from my childhood when Toonami was awesome. I'm very happy I found this. Thank you to the uploader.
it's 2017 and I'm here. It's the ending theme that made me love the cartoons even more. I watched them everyday. I'm here to watch them again at the age of 26
The nostalgia is insane.
If there is any manga from the 60's that was considered the absolute top tier project of that decade, it would be cyborg 009. This series was so far ahead of its time and yes ever considered more impressive then the great GO nagai.
And to think the author also created something called Kamen Rider and Super Sentai. There is even a museum of his works at Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan.
@@khaimk4r4su Did he really create super sentai and kamen rider?
@@sladejosephwilson2300 yes the original plan was adapt skullman but was too violent so Toei ask Ishinomori to make something new for TV that thing become kamen rider and years later Toei ask again for other plot but this time a squad (the sentai) he has a creative man
Well, Ishinomori was crowned as the King of Manga after all. I've only read a few of his works but they're all amazing; including the art, backgrounds, paneling, and themes that are still relevant today.
CTM me acuerdo de esta!! siempre la veia!! tenia como 6 años!
This might be my first memory of an anime and i have heve forgotten thia song. Its been burned into my brain ever since.
Had to look this up. It was airing yesterday on the Anime All Day channel on PlutoTV
2022 still here..
Come on Lonely planet....
The characters in cyborg 009 remind me of capcom characters 😊😊
Aaron McGlone a mi me recuerdan mas a los de astroboy
They remind me of Saint Seiya characters
Yes hands down still one of the best anime endings for toonami or any anime!!!!
This is probably the best adaptation of the manga that we’ll ever get.
Oh god, Toonami... Man, I died a little on the inside when I heard that it was canceled all together. It's bad enough that they had moved it to a time block that really sucked and only showed a few shows. I REALLY miss the old days when Rurouni Kenshin was on. I loved that show to death. I remember trying to keep myself from falling asleep in order to watch Cyborg 009 and Outlaw Star. Good times, good times... Makes me want to go back in time just to see them again...
Man i remember watching this on TVJ back in jamaica
Damn! 8 years, and some how, all those lazy afternoons spent with my uncle watching cartoon network anime all of a sudden comes back...sob ):
I miss shows like this, yu yu hakusho, and DBZ...
Still remains one of my favorite anime outdoor songs
This... takes me back, like... REALLY GOOD! It's like I'm transported back to my living room in 2002, and I'm 8-years old again. Ironically, I didn't really watch much of this show back then, but I'll always remember this song.
Damn I forgot about this song. I use to sprint to this in the gym 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
best ending ever...I loved this song and show ❤
懐かしい~子供の頃に観てた。
when I was a kid, i used to stay up late to watch this anime but more specifically.... to listen to this ending before going to sleep. good times, simple times
"recalls back to the days of Toonami"
....... rest well, Toonami.
Best. Theme. Ever.
Nostalgia has never hit me so hard
This ending goes so hard
For some reason, I had replaced the music to this show with that of .Hack//Sign but as “Cyborg 009” as the chorus. I had forgotten how hard this song went! Brings back memories of better days
That techno beat is king
This ending is up there with Smile Bomb. Joe is the best boy.
Best. Anime. Ever. I miss it so bad. I'm so glad I was able to watch it while I could. Now I'ma watch the whole series. Agh.. so many memories. this will always be my favorite ending song.
I freaking love this ending ❤
Oh I loved this when I was little!I used to be able to sing this when I was 10
New Cyborg 009 anime is in the work for their 50th anniversary! the original director of the 2001 version of cyborg 009 (this theme song playing ;) ) Will be directing it.
went to the dentist for the first time this year and BAM i hear this on the tv behind me
thanks for the nostalgia XD
2021 in a bad day remembering the good ones :'(
i like this version a lot better because the sound quality is a lot better than on the live concert ones. you can hear the female singer a lot more clearer.
GO TECHNO!
I miss this anime... Loved the anime and the song. I would sing to it every episode, never missed it.
Cyborg 009❤ one of My favorite's anime🎉❤❤❤❤
Damn that was nostalgic, I knew this slapped even as a kid
Yea. I love this song. This is a full dedication to all cybernetic songs of the future.
Damn I love this theme, so much energy!😆
I grew up watching this on Toonami during the summer like most people here. Every time I hear this opening, it reminds me that its summer time
Daaaammnn brings back memories 🤩
1:00 😭😭😭😭Damn bro I’m 21 now almost 22.. i remember coming home from skool as a kid and watching this on tv time really has passed who knows what the future holds no one understands the meaning of life or why we’re here I can’t remember the last time I was actually a kid it’s like i just wake up one day and I’m an adult now life’s really strange but I really wish I could live forever 👌👌sometimes I wonder if this is all just a dream am that when we die thats were we are actually supposed to be
I can definitely relate bro and I'm 26 now.
I already am 22, I remembered somehow this theme song, but I didn't really remember where. On the quarantine I considered "start" watching anime (nothing else to do), a friend recommended me Cyborg 009, started the first chapter and I felt like I had already seen it, but the memory was distant. The ending reaches and my brain lights up. I remembered it all. This actually was my first anime ever, back when I was five or six years old, when I didn't even know what anime was. It was not Dragon Ball or Saint Seiya. Cyborg 009 was where it all started for me. I'm definitely watching it again for old memories sake.
branlopgar I haven’t started watching it again as yet but I will
30 here 90s kids i remember growing with golden era toonami. Watched this series on 📺 along dbz g gundam, gundam wing, blue submarine sailor moon.
Nick and CN was awesome
Hell i remember fox kids and kids wb getting up early in the morning on Saturday to watch some cartoons and anime.
Good times before the smartphones 😆
CheReborn 25 haha fr .. things really change since smart phones came in... my younger siblings don’t even go outside anyone smh.....
I remember watching that show back when it was on that SVES block Cartoon Network had and I loved that song.
والله ذكريات ♡
The old legendary shows die young. Wish they put them back for all of us on tv to make us remember the good old days
I always loved this ending I can't stop playing it now
Gosh i was so young when i saw one episode and heard the end song. But i still remember the tune. 009 was my favorite. ;)
what if i were to tell you a new cyborg 009 anime is in the works for their 50th anniversary along with the director of 2001 cyborg 009 returning to direct it :)
.....* Le gasp* !!!!
This, Rurouni Kenshin and Gundam seed were my earliest memories of anime openings and endings. It wasn’t until Naruto started playing the Japanese openings on Cartoon Network that made me appreciate them.
One thing I like about this song is that it almost sounds like she's weeping this song out at points, very emotional.
Gets me every time.. my childhood will live on with this song!!
I miss this sooo much.. I remember coming home just to watch this .. :(
Just saw that movie today...Freaking awesome!
It stayed to the story a bit more than I thought it would.
song is called 'genesis of next' by globe, if anyone was wondering
i remember watching dbgt, cyborg 009, hack//twilight.....wow such good classic shows.....R.I.P Toonami

Oh Toonami. I miss it so much. I loved this show, along with countless others.
God I remember watching this when i was in Jr. high. Man I miss the old days makes me think about how old I am now. I miss Toonami.
I love this version of the song....the last 30 secs sound amazing, much better than the other versions, imo. But I still love the hell out of the full version =)
i loved this anime when i was little i loved the show a lot i could never miss an episode
Watched this anime on Tsunami Jetstream all the time when I was little , To this day i still love it :D
when the generation of 2000 and 2010 didn't exist everything was 1000% better than now.
HERE IN 2024 I miss those days at home watching all the anime on toonami sweet memories
I remember watching this when i was 9 or 10. The only episode i remember is the on one with 0013. God i miss this show.
The nostalgia is hitting me
un gran anime y un impresionante Ending digno de la calidad de este anime. buenos recuerods
Ahh,the memories of this show airing on CN. I would love CN get this show back.
Best theme ending it should have been the beginning 😂
@ChampDJ Well said, sir. I couldn't agree more. I'm 27 years old now but the time after school watching Toonami with my friends will be memories I forever treasure.
I was so badass, I used to confirm everyone's cyborg number while they were playing the credits just to prove that I paid attention to every character.
This and Kikaider. =}
+PhantomShroom Oh man, Kikaider was my shit!
PhantomShroom yyyyyyeeeesssssss!!!!!!
PhantomShroom two shotaro ishinomori series
That guy makes some fantastic stuff
Censoring Hercule’s Name Satan really sucked
When Toonami was the best when it came to showing anime
