One of my mottos is "never kill anything you don't have to." Every living creature is just trying to make their way in this world.
I like your comment
I love this actuall working life hacks by a man who shares his knowledge for fun and Passion
I had a smart mouse a few weeks back, it took three weeks almost to catch it.
I purchased three live traps two of which were different, £20.00 they cost.
It wouldn't enter them.
I built a bean can trap. The mouse entered this and ate the peanut butter many times but I couldn't find a sensitive sweet spot.
I built a magnetic bottle trap that broke the hinge point when a mouse walked past that point but the mouse never entered it, it had a large enough hole.
This mouse did not trust anything plastic, probably had been caught before in a plastic trap.
I went back to my bean can trap, removed an elastic band which allowed more sensitivity for setting.
Two hours later that darn mouse was released five miles out into the countryside.
Only one mouse no others. It looked to be possibly pregnant lol.
One of the traps that I purchased was the same kind I was successful with in a previous house, catching two.
That mouse cost me £22.00 counting fuel. My daughter and I missed it for a while.
It was fun trying to catch while on lock down.
Someone needs to let Mouse trap Monday know about this!
Ya
Hey Chris friendly advise from exterminator. If u release the mouse in your yard, it will go right back in your house.
Thanks for all ur videos
5:52 That was a smooth jump
I love to know that there is a man in this world that is intelligent that saves mice.
Great video, wonderful presentation and editing!
Thank you very much!
Glad to see you are back
That is a wonderful trap design. The triggering mechanism as far as I am concerned is perfect. I am not sure if the plastic container can hold a gnawing rodent but it can for a time for sure. Thank you for so carefully sharing your design and measurements and important condsiderations.
Thanks for that! Mice need a start point to get a hole chewed to get out. In a smooth plastic container like this there is nowhere for them to get started. I caught 6 mice with this in a row ( over a 6 night period ). They all spent the night in it and there was no chew marks anywhere at all.
I don't understand. Why would you want to capture, then release a mouse?
Because you're a stupid liberal.
So clever and what thought to get all the bits to work for success. AND, to emphasize to not hurt animals, even mice is icing on the cake. All creatures big and small are all to be respected. Love it! Thanks!💯👍🇨🇦🍁
Nice trap bud. Love the channel. I just came across it a few minutes ago and you “ Good Sir ) have earned yourself a little Canadian subscriber.
A pop can with a piece of straight wire threaded through the pop can. Make an indentation on each side of the can and add peanut butter on one side.
Place this across a 5 gallon pale with a little water in it. When the rodent steps on the can, the can will spin and drop it in the pail. With the indentation and the peanut butter the can will automatically reset to ( Bait Up ) and is ready for the next one with no resetting required.
Compassionate trap. Simply the best. Thanks!
Need to cover the yellow piece with a tiny enclosure to ensure that the mouse doesn't step on it. But overall, very good. +1
Hey Chris you forget the jam :) peanut butter and jam go well > oh boy did I laugh > the poor mouse.
Nice job on that build. I just spent $25 on traps could have done it for nothing. I have all that stuff at home. Well maybe ill still make one. Thanks for sharing and stay safe
We need Shawn Woods to review this!
Yes this is a day late.
Как же мне нравится этот канал. Я ваш зритель из России и воспользовался уже многими вашими советами. Спасибо вам за то, что вы делаете!
By the time I’d made the trap , the mouse would have died of old age
Such a cute mouse 🐀
Здоровья вам дедуля)
Three videos and I was hooked. Subbed!
Welcome aboard!
Thanks for this one. A classic tough problem! I look forward to trying out your design.
Chris is the Leonardo Da Vinci of CZcams! Chris, how in the world did you think of this! It's probably a good idea to release the mouse ASAP. The mice in my neck of the woods will chew through a Ziplock container in no time.
Thank u not only is this not very difficult to make but it actually works
SO CUTE!!! 🐁🧀
With the price of meat escalating................my little friend won't be making any trips to the woods.
miciee 😃
Very clever idea And so simple too.
Thank you! 😊
great editing!
Thanks!
Its so cute
TINY TOES!!! AAAAAAA 💓
what a cute mouse!
Nice! As always Chris. Stay safe and healthy
Chris, isn't that style of trap the kind with the scented yellow cheese shaped pressure plate?
I totally dig your CZcams videos. Keep em coming you do a wonderful presentation and I like yoour thinking out of the box ideas.
Thank you! Will do!
I was hoping he was off to Mouseville in Florida..
Great vedio...
A lot of work, but ingenious.
Why is this so fascinating? I need to subscribe!
Very clever . Works good thanks for sharing. Always enjoy your videos. Hope you an your fam are doing well.
Woo cool content
I once went to a guest house(not sure if that's what it is called in english)and the 2nd night I was in there I have found atleast 4 mice in the apartment and left immediatly after seeing one of them next to the pillow in my bed.Hopefully the lady who owned that guest house sees this video.
That's nasty!
Cool , cheers 🐁
Your Videos a very pleasing to watch. I love the edeting :)
Thanks for that!
nice idea !!
Thank you! Cheers!
Wow .... Thats is god idea, thanks For video
This guy should be the new Bill nye the science guy!
I would do this but canning lids seem to never be in stock
What a great job! What type of camera did you put in there? That's for the video.
I used a GoPro Session 5 camera. It's very small.
Chris Notap want to provide a link?
Seems like a lot of work....but silly and fun.
That was a great trap.
That's cool,good job
Hello sir I am a huge fan of your "lungs after" videos and I was wondering if you can do cigars? And you can choose the time portion for the smoking I'm fine with that.
Why do you want to save these mice? They carry so much diseases and we have killed off so many snakes and other predators it makes me sick.
And presto, you now have a pet mouse!
you should try how a real cigar affects the lungs
I think the electronic traps are best then poison ones so something else dosen't eat it that is endangered because if there isn't water nearby that Mouse could stay alive for quite some time because you dont need that mouse coming back he thinks your feeding him
Awesome !
I love this trap it doesn't hurt the mice at all. I don't think it's the mice that are the problem after all they were here first.
So were the Indians
This trap should be called "The Last Meal".
I can’t imagine anyone that would want a trap that didn’t kill the mouse. I sure hope you don’t live near me.
Re-locate it to a field a distance away.
Genuine question why would you wanna keep it alive? Are they like bees? Essential to living? Or just cause?
The eco system is vast. We have messed it up pretty good already as you know.
The problem is catches only 1 mouse at time.
that one seemed non fussed by the trap going off
Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
The mouse was a paid actor
If you sold these you would become a millionaire,if you haven’t already. 😂. Nice are definitely cuter when they are alive.
Neat! Now I’m wondering if anyone knows where I can get a step bit for a quarter inch drill.
The mouse was kinda cute
Hello I have been following you for two years and what type of mouse is in this video ☺️
Nice video...thanks
Thank you too!
another good one!
who is the new guy with the long hair?
Pretty shaggy !
This is the only youtuber that doesn’t talk about covid-19 rn
The only good most is a dead mouse.
Who dislikes a video like this?!? Grouches.
💖
Hi good DIY video, how make trap to catch stray cats from urinating my car port?
I never knew there was a mouse inside the red V
ehehehe very good
Clean the paws...and then the OH CRAP moment...you can almost see it on his face.
This will be a BIG hit in California, but they will Tag the little mouses before letting them go for tax credits.
Richard -haha! Love it!👍
😆😆😆😆
I read it as "Haram free" lol
The mouse kinda looks like a hamster ya sure that ain't your pet?
almost hurt its tail though.
If you look at the lid, the smooth edge is upwards plus their tails are very slippery with the hair and would have no problem pulling it out.
That mouse you caught is actually your pet, isn't it?
No. I catch many mice outside with the trap first to prove the concept then I catch one to use in the video. It is actually a wild mouse.
You should do another smoking is harmful test but do it with 60 packs !!!
I was going to do 6 months worth.....180 packs!!
@@chrisnotap why didnt you do it?
Why?
So you can capture and release in a field away from your house.
Fourth comment here!
I really love your videos Chris Notap!
snaptrap-it.com
works a lot faster and mouse won't return.
Or buy a humane trap? Very engaging :)
I catch mine alive, can't stand to kill anything, (except cockroaches but I give them 3 steps), then I take them up to the church and let them go where they can become church mice.
Or just get a cat.
Yes. That works too!
love your video but you speak to fast to follow hvad your are saing
Thanks for that feedback. I've gotten better at that and improving. Thanks.
What If I don’t plan to release them later?
obviously use a kill trap
Glue traps. Easy cheap and you just through the trap with the mouse in the garbage.
Those metal cost hangers are endangered!
You're right! They are becoming hard to find!
Hi Hi Hi
The mouse almost died accidentally stepping on the trap on top. That would have been ironic.
Watch the trap in action again! It can't get hurt if it steps on it. The arm cannot get that far because of the string!
DON'T KILL LIVING THINGS
That's an awfully broad statement. I don't disagree that we shouldn't kill higher order life, but surely I can kill some vegetables for dinner.
What if it kills you?
