Presidential Ski Traverse

- Linking up (and skiing) the Presidentials picking off the best skiing along the way. Aside from early winds, conditions allowed for efficient travel, sliding over rime, windslab, and everything in between. It's a bit of a puzzle to figure out the best method of travel across the ridgeline but landed on a combination of ski / boot crampons, skinning, and booting my way north to south. Would highly recommend this tour if the conditions are good, with the option of skipping several of the ski descents that are fickle.
00:40 - Madison Snowfields
02:15 - Adams Snowfields
03:20 - Castle Ravine (Jefferson)
05:20 - Jefferson Ravine
07:10 - Pipeline Gully (Clay)
09:34 - Mount Washington (Snowfields + The Lip)
12:04 - Double Barrel (Monroe)
14:38 - Pleasant Brook (Eisenhower)
15:50 - Mt Pierce to Gibbs Brook

That was incredible! I have traversed twice in winter just walking. I cannot imagine adding all that vertical with all those ski lines, many of which most people do not even know exist. Thank you for sharing.
Spectacular work and such tremendous scenery. Thanks for making the effort to document such a tour de force.
i am most impressed by the descent down to crawford. so many opportunities for cursing. srsly, one of the biggest things you can do, and very well done.
Must be one wonky Strava file…Well done Andrew!
Andrew specifically told us this is not worth doing… and then crushed it 😂. Well done!
Actually, he said he would recommend it, but I agree he crushed it! What a beast!
You seem to really know the zone well. The pipeline and some other spots looked as if conditions were prime for the east
You get my vote man.. that is some ballsy skiing..you really did this entire traverse in a day? Wow
Absolutely impressive!
Excellent work Andrew as always
Epic day and an awesome video! Thanks for sharing it all with us!
Superb. What an absolutely amazing, incredible day! I am from the West, but so enamored with what I see there. Gotta get there someday. Not many who could pull off an epic like this one (and doing the video all the while)--great work Andrew.
HUGE! Awesome accomplishment.

Do you have a recording of this on Garmin, Fatmap or some other map? Would really like to investigate the lines. Very interested! Thanks for the video!
Yes - strava link in the description.
@@andrew.drummond Oh, right! Thanks! Looking.
So, why are East Coast skiers so much better in sketchy, icy, ugly conditions?
Blizzard ZG80 ?
Yes, I’ve been using those for the majority of the season. Perfect for quick tours or longer days like this one.
A bit brisk, eh?
love the content.
ditch the music
Impressive endurance, and it takes guts to do it alone, but I'm dinging you a star for not telemarking.
Wow.
