11 years later they are still making an selling the same helicopter. I guess that means it's good, as they wouldn't still making it if it wasn't. I just bought the 107G, which has a gyro in it, I've learned since then that's another one with self take off and hold hover mode.
This is only the second and best mini helicopter I ever had! It's so easy to fly, and so stable! I love the metal chassis construction, and I wanted the yellow one, but they were sold out of that color, so I settled for red, my second favorite color!
this is the best upgrade I have seen so far what they do not say what you gain in fly time you loss some of it in charge time .most of upgrades double the charge time so you got to wait longer.
I've also done this upgrade 350MAh on the new Syma S36, but I've soldered directly on the board, it's much simpler to do that on the S36 tough. What I've found is that if you keep the original battery position the helicopter keeps going forward no matter what you do, practically you loose the third channel. The solution to this is to mount the battery vertically (90 degrees relative to the body of the helicopter) so you keep all that extra mass closer to the center of gravity. I've also inversed the bottom skids so a little more weight is now distributed to the tail. I have a fully functional, stable S36 now that flyes for 14 minutes!
***** I haven't done anything special really, it just works, maybe your battery does't have the discharge needed to run the helicopter... mine is a Gens Ace 350mAh 3.7V 30C (burst 60C) 1S1P Lipo at 9.4g. If your battery has the capacity, but a lower discharge rate, maybe it can't provide enough power? Mine is hovering for 30s max if it's out of power!
Well It's probably common sense that the motors have to work harder to lift all that extra weight, but really I don't think that it wouldn't work at stock specifications... You know, a lot of batteries just don't work as specified on the label and you could just got a really bad one. Try to get a high 30C discharge high quality one, go for the 350Mah, it works very well! I'll post a video this week to show how it works. You could do a quick test, run the helicopter without the plastic conopy (cage, whatever) and see if it improves things a little... if it still doesn't work, it's a dud, as the plastic is pretty heavy (let's say you'll get close to stock weight)!
Really nice vid, just bought two of these for my boys and I want to show them how to solder so this is a perfect vid for them to watch and then do it with me. :)
I have a Yorkie and he LOVES to chase my heli's around the living room. He ignores it when it's 4 or 5 feet off the ground but when I fly it low to the ground he starts like barking at it and lunging towards it. If I fly it towards him it's astonishing how quickly he can maneuver to stay out of the heli's way. Great fun indeed... I'll have to try this mod. Oh... the cat... he doesn't like the chopper at ALL. ;-)
Your Pup is adorable I have 4 Syma 107G's awesome heli's for inside. Outside flights nearly impossible due to the infrared TX and RX but great for rainy dys:
I did battery upgrade on my Syma S5H from 100 mAh to 250 mAh and it performs worse than on stock 100 mAh. Probably because this helicopter flies on narrow voltage range something between 3.9V and 4.2V. Larger capacity doesn't increase voltage drop time from 4.2V to below 4V but it introduces few extra grams so overall helicopter flies shorter and charges longer.
Hola, así como la actualización de la batería se puede desactivar el led parpadeante que está en la parte delantera o afecta esto a todo el sistema de cableado?
I have upgraded my battery to 240mah but when I try try to charge it the light on the charger turns red to say it's charged after it has only been charging for a couple of seconds and it doesn't charge, anyway I can fix it?
great vid, just a piece of advice though, soldering the connector directly to the battery can be risky, many contain thin plastic membranes inside, it's much easier to just cut the wire about an inch up and solder wire to wire with a couple little pieces of heat-shrink and voila! no risk of battery fires lol
a little tip my s107g seem like it was losing a bit of lift first I thought it was the battery but I have the s111g and its lighter but I realised when I landed the s111g there was more after spin on the propellers and shaft and gears as the s107g is open to the elements of dust and what ever I used a vacume then sprayed a light bit of wd 40 spray oil been careful of the electrics a mere haze of the lubricant and it was like new. Also look out for hair getting caught in propeller shaft
I really like this video. :) The music was nice. I don't know why everyone is complaining. You don't have to hear him speaking... just watch. And for the boy who commented about how one should not post videos if you're not good at it... that was extremely rude. He was simply showing CZcams how HE did it HIS way. :) Thank you, cheers.
You did good job at changing and restoring this one...pls practice landing it too ..because smaller models are twitchy and fast...you have to be more precise cz u crashed twice
What MAH was the new battery ? Did you notice that u need more throttle to lift it due do weight difference? I was quite sure the heli will tend to go forward due to this change but as i see, i think it doesnt
First I removed as much weight as possible (canopy weight and LED, boom support and shaved 1/8" off each end of the balance bar. Then I hot glued another battery to the underside at the CG and wired it across the stock one. Flight time is doubled while charge time is the same
It is not right to wire them in parallel.....after all the batteries cannot be identical and the stronger or higher voltage battery will discharge into the other. However notwithstanding this, practically I suppose it is OK just to connect them in parallel just before flying.
@@RajendraVermaa even if they discharge into the other, eventually they will increase the day time. Or do you disagree? Again if you are charging both in parallel then they will both be dukky charged and will not discharge into then other. What do you say? I think parallel battery at CG is great idea
Looks like it drifts forward now when you hover, or does it? do you need to counter balance the tail with extra weight because of the extra weight of the nose? Let me know how it hovers.
It appears that the larger/longer battery did not effect the CG at all? Nice work - don't know IF I can get my little fat fingers in there like you did!
you need to relocate the battery , dont add even more weights. get longer whires and place it below with these both-sides sticky foamy tapes When you do such upgrades changing the weights u need to ballance it 1st, with your finger exactly below the main rotor try to keep the heli ballanced relocating the battery which weights more than the whole heli without it. Its a must.
Instead of cutting into the insulation on the battery, you would be better off cutting and splicing the wires. If you use shrink tube, it makes for a much more professional looking modification, and the old battery will still have lead-wires attached.

This is a brilliant video. Very informative with hypno music but that beautiful little puppy stole the show.
That puppy is adorable.

Hey where did you buy the battery from?
For the s36
Olimpiu-Cristian Mihai Why 30C? Doesn't higher C-rate mean quicker discharge?
Thanks! I actually enjoyed the music. It made the video relaxing to watch!
Really nice vid, just bought two of these for my boys and I want to show them how to solder so this is a perfect vid for them to watch and then do it with me. :)
Great Vid/Mod & adorable doggy too👍🚁
Nice pet mate, take care of him, they gave some thing that never human will give..LOVE TRUE LOVE!!
Thanks , man. I did everything like you! Greetings from Serbia, Europe!
Lovely video and lovely dog :)
Your dog is so cute. I love your dog.
Nice matching the tool to the color of your syma
Cute dog
love it brother, this video is just what I was looking for. I'm ordering a new battery tonight & will see how it works on mine.
Name exactly of the battery.. More energy charge..
I got an interstate battery from costco.
@@biggiesmalll and did it work for you? More charge?
I order one 3.7 volts 240mha in eBay ..$9.99
Your dog is so cute!
You have a adorable handsome dog

Nice Vid! get mine tomorrow. love te dog also and his house haha
Nice dog house!
Nice music and Cute Puppy....
great vid and good song choice
cute dog
i did the same, loose the lights for longer power. It helped
Sportman-un how much u get from taking lights down?
good replacement tutorial since my helicopters battery had died completely and was inflated
nice video, liked :D btw i like your dog :)
great video brother, can I ask you what is the reference of the engine gears?

Great video! I will soon be replacing my battery. Thanks for the advice.
What is the name of the background music?
love puppies
Love the doggy, Best part of the video goes to the dog...
Hola, así como la actualización de la batería se puede desactivar el led parpadeante que está en la parte delantera o afecta esto a todo el sistema de cableado?
i thought dude was gonna Cut his damn finger open!!! But nice video!! I just got My Syma 107g And S032g Waiting on batteries now thanks for video!
Love that music
Really nice 👍
Great video.... thanks.
that's a cute dog :D
We just saw it flying. The battery is only a tiny bit larger in size and weight and shouldn't be an issue.
Hi, as well as the battery upgrade can you disable the flashing led's at the front or does this affect the whole wiring system ?
ouaf ouaf adorable !!!
I have upgraded my battery to 240mah but when I try try to charge it the light on the charger turns red to say it's charged after it has only been charging for a couple of seconds and it doesn't charge, anyway I can fix it?
Nice vid. I will probably just do an inline solder and use heat shrink tube, rather than de-solder the terms on the new battery though.
your dog is cute

Nice battery upgrade. However with the larger battery the flight is looks unstable a bit.

Hi Pleasecho2 - did you re-wire the battery in parallel or in series?
parallel
pleasecho2 Thanks for the quick response man! Just a bit fearful for incomplete charging, overcharging, unequal charging etc..
It is not right to wire them in parallel.....after all the batteries cannot be identical and the stronger or higher voltage battery will discharge into the other. However notwithstanding this, practically I suppose it is OK just to connect them in parallel just before flying.

Extra weight affect flight at all? Is there extra weight with that battery?
Does the light on the yellow USB cable still come back on when the new battery is fully charged?
where is the receiver present in this.copter
does the bigger battery make make the heli heavier and also how much longer fly time do you get ?
Cheers
can you link to the battery you bought please? (add it to your description) btw BEST DOG EVA!!! :D
Your Dawg
the soldering on the s107g board is very fragile and will snap off with slight tugging. I hot glued mine in place after learning the hard way.
Like the dog
Still fly your S107 ?, I just got myself a S108 - great it is.
Useful video this in case I have the need to replace my battery at a later date.
Cool vid....

Which is the Upgraded Fly Time
Wow Your Dog Is Playing With your Helicopter, Please Upload Your Fun With Dog Big Video
How much more flight time do you get from the new batter?
Did the larger battery change the flight pattern at all?
This syma s107 looks like my huge UJ376 this just looks like a smaller variant
where do i buy the tool kit to do this and that thing that melts where dop i buy it?
Its takes little pressure but I fitted 300 man batter with front shroud
What about the distribution of the weight? With a large battery, it is not th same, and it could be hard to drive
where I can buy a good battery, please give me the link. thanks
It appears that the larger/longer battery did not effect the CG at all? Nice work - don't know IF I can get my little fat fingers in there like you did!
Nice, but you forgot about the PCM from the old battery.
hey that is little bit funny:)) that your pet was shouting when the helicopter's head fan was snipping!?
btw if you guys dont have solder you can also use hot glue but only for a short period of time so be careful
I did a battery mod that runs 200mah 1s lipos and they can be in changed when one runs out.
very god video
I need to know this song.

Hola tengo un helicoptero y un control que no es de el hay alguna forma de que funcione el helicoptero con ese control remoto ?
I also did this, but new the battery weights more, so my syma didn't get much more flight time.
where can i get the charger USB pot mine just using the controller to change about 1 time full my battery dead
How much longer did this extend the flight time?
Srry phone glitched how long does the battery last is there a difference in power?
Where you in a tight room? i ask cause it looks like the battery weighed down the helicopter alot
That looked like it was too heavy too fly. Was it!
the music gave me diarrhea but the puppy made me feel better
I bought one of those expensive mesminho, only that it does not fly well not self.
do you think that is oquer
Hello, How much time did you gain with this mod? Thanks
whats the model or name of the new batery?
I mounted 2 under the body between the landing gear and it still takes off and i get about 22 min out of it. and it does not make it front heavy.
Instead of cutting into the insulation on the battery, you would be better off cutting and splicing the wires. If you use shrink tube, it makes for a much more professional looking modification, and the old battery will still have lead-wires attached.
