This is one of the best video documentaries of NAS Miramar I've seen. Nothing but pride while serving at Fightertown during its heyday. Brings back so many memories. Larry "Hoss" Pearson was CO of NAS Miramar at the time and was also skipper of VF-154 and Blue Angels Boss during their last season flying the Mongoose. Thanks for posting!
And very well done from the standpoint of music being appropriate, proper volume, and at the right times there is no music and you can just be chill and watching things happen without fast/annoying camera cuts and things being all in-your-face. Very well done.
I went to FRAMP school for the E-2C Hawkeye at Miramar in ‘91. Such a great part of my life during my time there. I’ll never forget being awakened by the blue angels screaming over the barracks while practicing for the upcoming air show!
I visited the base many times in 1989, 1990 and 1997 i came all the way from France to visit the base and meet the Pilots. The first pilot of the movie gave me a tour of VF-213! These were the good old days! I remember the noise and jet fuel smell ....
wow!!!! I didn't realize that fighter pilots had loud rock music blaring in their headsets all the time. Really people???????? The ONLY kind of people that watch these videos watch them to hear and feel the experience of being a fighter pilot. That doesn't include loud rock music (or ANY kind of music) in the headset when sitting inside the airplane on take-off, flying around, or landing.. at ANY time. PLEASE repost without the stupid music. We don't need that to make the video exciting.
