Man,give FIAT some credit for still persisting with that HPS and great driving dynamics. The Abarth Punto needed a lot of courage for a brand which sells about a 1000 cars a month.

If u want to drive a car in city mostly and carry some passengers with u then go for hyundai. But if u usually drive solo and want to feel the thrill while driving at high speeds, curving corners then go for fiat coz fiat can never match the practical sences of hyundai and hyuindai can never macth the fun of driving like fiat!

I own FIAT urban cross emotion.
I purchased it even after a lot of hesitations about company shutting its business in India, such was the appeal of the design and driving dynamics.
and after 6 months of purchasing it and driving over 10k KMs i can proudly say that i made the right decision.
my FIAT just glides over potholes and bad Indian roads like a rocket. i see other much premium cars slowing down on bad roads while i just fly over there.
body of this car is very strong and you always feel planted while doing three digit speeds. if you want to feel the strength of its steel then just open and shut its door and then check any maruti and hyundai's flimsy doors.
the only thing bothers me is future of FIAT company in India. fiats are not doing enough business in India to stay here for long. and the worst part is that they are not announcing any new product in near future.
FIAT should reach out to its customers clearing out all these speculations and doubts and more over they must announce some new models.
FIAT, we owners love you, its time for u to show some respect to your lovers.
because if we owners can buy your cars even after so much negative rumours then you must come forward to say that YES MY CUSTOMERS ARE RIGHT.
pranesh kumar it is somewhere our fault . We fall prey to looks and gizmos on the vcars neglecting the over built and driving Dynamics. Anyway fiat is not a dependent company. It can earn 4 times of what maruti and Hyundai is earning just by selling engines. So, they aren't Mich bothered about launching a new product as they know that people have the mentality like sasta hi accha. Chevy was a victim of it too. You often heard that this cars after sale service is not good. But does it really requires those frequent service visits. Nothing can be done my friend. People in India think endeavor and Fortuner are SUVs. Well , just tell them to drive Mitsubishi's pajero. Both these. Cars will. Have a run for there money
Having Driven both the cars the Hyundai is an extremely premium car with excellent goodies and an overblown Crossover design.. The fiat however is not a premium car ,does not pack goodies like the Chinese store, but is a car with heart...Drive both cars and immediately the difference is noted. The fiat suspension is brilliant and the car glides over potholes unlike the wobbly Hyundai...Also the Dead steering wheel doesn't really inspire confidence for Hyundai drivers..while the fiat car is brilliantly accurate and fun to drive...The ideal combination would be the interiors quality and engine of Hyundai with the driving ease, comfort and mileage of The Avventura...Personally would go with the Avventura..Unfortunately the review from Autocar is skewed and looks more like a sales pitch for Hyundai!!
bro, u did not check the features properly, i checked them myself, they offer more than what Hyundai gives. Check properly
I had written the review one year ago. Fiat has added a lot of goodies since then.. one year ago the avventura was less packed brother

I20 never gives fuel efficiency above 16kmpl anywhere.. but punto reaches 20kmpl easily.

I worry about *ing taxes far more than mileage per l. Btw, most of your taxes goes into interest and most of interest goes to rbi that prints money out of nothing. It is a shame that Indians care so much about mileage but not about such high taxes. Btw, I have Palio 1.6
Its ARAI figure whats is mentioned or In the brochure.Its strange a Swift Diesel Fuel Mileage is mentioned higher than Same engine powering Punto to extent of 5-6kmpl ok if 2kmpl is understandable as Punto weigh more .I am not sure how ARAI manage to comes up the kmpl figure .So same goes here.

Fiat avventura is better than the i20 active . And the gearbox is not nauchy at all , when it comes to performance the avventura . Why don't you compare the petrol avveatura . And when it comes to space and comfort the avventura is better . When it comes to quality the fiat is better . The fiat avventura is the winner of the test .
when i test drove avventura after seeing this review, i felt avventura's interior is good only and a person of 6ft tall like me could sit behind the driver wheel after it was set to my position, but it doesn't happen in my dads Toyota Innova and my moms fiesta

FIAT boys FIAT.. i own an urban cross............. new powertech engine is something u have to check it out...now powertech available in avventura , punto, linea... FIAT is better car than fake premium car like hyundai(good design though)

bcoz while driving car I want to fell excited but not dull .
what about safety, hyundai is a shit anyday h=when it comes to safety. comparing hyundai and fiat is like comparing samsung to apple, anyday anyone can tell samsung is better but at the end of day apple is something which is more stable and reliable.
if u want just a four wheeler go for hyundai...but if u want a car then it doesn't come anywhere near to avventura...I met with a chain accident on vashi bridge and to everyone's surprise there was no damage whatsoever to my avvy but all cars ahead of me were severely damaged...i20 would have been crushed in that situation...love u fiat...
i20 is better than fiat.. it's safest car.. in ncap crash test.. it has scored 4.2 out of 5..

that ncap rating is for european manufactured i20. in india it is different story. hyundai and maruti reduces the quality of steel in their Indian models to increase mileage. you ask any car expert.

A good word for Hyundai. I recently purchased my first Hyundai and I must say I'm very impressed. I purchased the Elantra, it has actually been 5 months, I've never been happier with a car. I guess, what you pay is what you get.
Sometimes ppl pay tons of money to get *#0t :) so don't be overconfident. When I was buying palio 1.6 everyone said big no including experts. Yet, this is the only car that survived.!!! I don't see some ford crap that was 2 lakh dearer, I hardly see getz that was underpowered and ugly and yet one lakh dearer, I don't see any chevy something that was 3 lakhs dearer, I don't see ivtec that was 4 lakh dearer. So apni akal lagao, expert mei mat jao. Even this expert is woefully unaware how stupid she looks with deep seated hyundai seats - she looks like kid with her neck line running parallel to window line.!

fiat looks dated
this fiat is just a small Punto that was presented first in 2005 in Europe. for India they made some ground clearance and put wheel to trunk. new suv :-D... hyundai is all new car, sold same spec also actually in Europe, better crash test results , ergonomics, isolation, because all new technology. I am an alfa romeo owner, I love Italian cars, but buy hyundai, Indian friends, fiat cheats you this time ;-)

Hate when the car looks so good, handles even better is let down by poor choices of engine by the company. Even the interior is too disappointing quality wise when compared to its rivals. Fiat just doesn't care about the Indian market where it can really make a mark given the diversity of customers!
