Today, we traveled to experience rural village life in Africa. We drove the couple hour drive to Jawajeh village in rural Liberia and were welcomed with the most incredible experience.
One of our favorite things to do while traveling is experiencing the local remote villages and this was one for the books. It wasn't a traditional travel vlog, but we felt we needed to share this incredible experience. This was one of our most favorite travel memories so far on our journey! So special spending time in a rural village in Africa.

Thank you to Raise Your Hand Foundation and our amazing Liberian family for giving us this opportunity to show the world these little corners of the world and how spectacular they are!
If you happened to be new around here, this isn't our typical vlog style but after shooting this, we wish we had filmed a vlog, so we decided to show it this way! Stick around for more adventures around the world!

Love your video, I am a Liberian currently living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. That nut is called Cola nut. It's customary for you to be given a chicken, cola nut as a welcoming gesture into their society. Love my people!! they are the best in the world!!!!

My 1st and 2nd visit to Liberia, even earlier this yr, I get a chicken or a goat as a welcome gift every time when I go to the village or extended family members come see my family, they bring them with palm wine or other traditional food items. It is awesome! I love my culture🙏🏾 LIB 🇱🇷 Forever! Thanks for these lovely videos

Liberia is one of the most welcoming and kind places we've ever visited. The people are absolutely unbelievably kind and we felt so lucky to have spent almost 2 weeks there. Wish we could have stayed longer and itching to go back :)

    This is a traditional welcome.
They are showing appreciation with their pure/open hearts, as represented by the kola nut and white chicken. 😊
Also, the children chasing the car is a way youngens show that they'll miss you and want to extend their contact with you to the very last moment. 😁
Great vid, guys! I can't wait to go home, as perfectly imperfect as it is!
