- The Mexico City Metrobús (officially Sistema de Corredores de Transporte Público de Pasajeros del Distrito Federal and simply known as Metrobús) is a bus rapid transit (BRT) system that has served Mexico City since 2005. As of November 2013 it comprises five lines that traverse the city and connect with other forms of transit, namely the Mexico City Metro. It was officially opened to the public with service along line 1 on June 19, 2005.

Almost the same buses used on BRT system on streets of Brazil, made for a brazilian company (Marcopolo). Just that mexican version of buses is more simple!

Yo tambien soy partidario del tranvia. De hecho, la Ciudad de Mexico tuvo tranvias hasta los anios 80s.

Well that's the first time I have seen a bus operator who has orange flashing lights on the roof and adjustable tire pressure pipes on the vehicle wheels. Oh yes and 'loads' from a station height island, I've heard the saying 'Hop on a Bus', - I would have thought doors on the vehicle would be enough to discourage that, what happens when there is no loading island 'Climb on a Bus'.

Great rides I must say, this is Metrobus line 3 if i'm not mistaken, use to work a couple of blocks from Cuahtemoc station when system was build back in 2008-2009 i think, however my favorite rides of the system are the mexican Dina Brighters that run on lines 1 and 2, great to see the LATAM transport industry improving and giving this kind of transport solutions, as for today, it is expected on the following months the phase 2 of line 5 be open efectively connecting the north end of the city with the south end through the east side corridor of Mexico City. muito obrigado!!!!
MB Viales only on operating in Lines 1 and 2 in smaller numbers, but really great rides!!, i think they will be start service on line 3 i have see some in tranning runs through the line, the giant Grand Viable only in line 1

Ayer fue el colmo, no hubo servicio por el marathon de la ciudad, digo como ingeniero si hay marchas no hay servicio, en lugar de los camiones Rojos, hubiera hecho rutas de Monoriel o Metros jamás les afectan las marchas o marathones

Είναι παρόμοιο με της Κολομβίας που μας έδειξες σε άλλο βίντεο. Υπερυψωμένες στάσεις αντί για λεωφορεία με χαμηλό δάπεδο και λεωφορειολωρίδες αποκλειστικής κυκλοφορίας και θύρες και από τις δύο μεριές. Δεν μπορώ να καταλάβω τους Βραζιλιάνους και τους Κολομβιανούς γιατί δεν χρησιμοποιούν light rail. Είναι πιο αθόρυβα, χωρούν πολλούς περισσότερους επιβάτες και κυρίως δεν παράγουν καυσαέρια. Τα λεωφορεία όσο και καλά να είναι είναι λεωφορεία και παραπέμπουν σε τριτοκοσμικές καταστάσεις, ενώ τα light rails ανεβάζουν το επίπεδο ζωής μιας πόλης...

Mexico City has 7 lines right now. This is line 3, which has bi-articulated buses. Line 1 has Volvo-made triple articulated buses. And Line 7 has double decker buses.

BRT done right. Bogota set the pace. No NIMBY bullshit to stop latin americans from replicating them. What are we afraid of? Notice they have mostly forward facing seats, because the passenger experience is valued and recognized as an integral part of providing a quality service people are expected to use every day. Its also a testament to the long length of these lines. Are there more than the initial two lines now? Did they ever expand the commuter rail?
Forward facing seats are also decreasing the "capacity" of bus.
7 lines active to this date, the expansion of line 5 is almost ready , currently runs from the north end of Mexico city to the old downtown district east side through Eduardo Molina Avenue (not so far from the airport, which through the connection with line 4 in the current San Lazaro terminal station, you can go to the airport terminal 1 &2 from there) , when expansion on the line is complete it will run all the way to the south end of Mexico city through the east side north-south corridor of Mexico city (Eje 3 Oriente)
Metrobus line 7 open just 3 weeks ago with double deck-conventional low floor access buses running through the turistic Reforma Avenue where the downtown financial district is located from Guadalupe Basilica/La Villa temple to Auditorio metro station, there have been some adoption problems, because from Auditorio terminal many people go and come from the high-end income/bussiness district of Santa Fe and the switch between the Metrobus from that part to the old busses that go to Santa Fe still is not well organized.
Noo, de hecho el concepto viene de estados Unidos, lo tomo Brasil y ya con el paso del tiempo se ha ido innovando, no es que Bogotá marcará el ritmo, cada ciudad adopta y modifica el sistema dependiendo de varios factores.

Yep, en Colombia es el Transmilenio y México, depende, si estás en la cdmx es metrobús y si estás en el EdoMex es Mexibús que finalmente es lo mismo

Porque las rutas que recorrió no tienen biarticulados. De haberse ido por línea 1, hubiera sido factible.
Es gracioso porque en Brasil tienen el camión articulado más grande. Y la última vez que cheque Brasil está en Sudamérica.

Que mal servicio cada sábado llegó a Buenavista y tomo el ruta Sur, o hay colas de mínimo 100 gentes, o no hay autobuses, o estos se esperan como los antiguos chimecos hasta que se llenan bien, o salen más ruta Norte, también los choferes son despotas
