Despite the challenges of the kit, you made it look half way decent. Thank you for your honest review. I have this kit in the stash and my kid wants to build it. If she does I guess I'll be helping her quite a bit.
Turned out really nice, these old AMT kits will definitely test your patience, lol
Thanks and yes, they do. Have a great weekend 👍
Finished model looks great.
Thanks Dan! Have a great weekend 👍
Nice build on an interesting subject.
Thank you and thanks for watching. Have a great day.
Nice build.
Thank you and thanks for watching. Have a great week.
Great build! I really like your take on the build. The Streaker Vette had the same issue with the wheels being wider than the tires! Your Big turned out great! 😎👍
Thank you very much. This was a fun build, even with it's issues. Thanks for watching and have a great week.
Lmao. I thought I was listening to myself giving a "gentle" review of an AMT repoop!
Your finish build looks great, for what you had to work with. I have avoided this kit for precisely the issues you mentioned, but have also kept it in mind for a possible donor, or an old school sand buggy, essentially just a pan & hot vw motor. The body looks kinda cartoony to me, might just be the camera. Love the primer! Going to have to try some of that, can never have too many silver/metal/gray options.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! And yes, it would be a great donor kit, and the engine isn't bad. Thanks for watching and commenting. Have a great weekend 👍
Time Machine Models (Rob) sent me over. I subscribed......I'm building this kit now......... The Bearded Guy
Hello Jeff and welcome!!! Are you building the bug for your channel? Thanks for the sub and for watching and commenting. Have a great day 👍
@@PlasticImaginationWorkshop yes sir......on my channel for the #under1000 group build
@@thebeardedguyjefflawless5887 Cool! I will be sure to check it out, Have a great day!
If you are looking for a more realistic Beetle, pick up the Tamiya kit #24136. This kit is an old cartoonist shortened kit. I have it built as a heavily modified kit with a 3D printed resin engine and some photo etch.
It takes some effort to make this kit not look like a toy in the end.
Cool, thanks for that. Also, thanks for watching. Have a great day 😀
Turn off the music when you're talking please. Good build for this old kit! It is a challenge.
Thank you. It was challenging but still a fun build. I will see what I can do about the audio, thanks for letting me know it's an issue. Have a great week,
