Really cool David. I look forward to the new kit build. And its 1/25th.
Thank you so much! Thanks for watching and have a great weekend 👍
I very much appreciate your building this kit and making this video of it. I really appreciate everyone who has built this kit and made a video of it. Thanks to all of you I feel I am prepared to deal with its defects and deficencies. However I really don't understand why everyone but William Coxe (a true fan) rushes through this build without doing any real research on how to detail this car accurately in its interior (woodgrain, carpet, seatback, headliner, etc) or underneath ( What color was a '66 Chrysler Imperial's engine block?) What are the differences between the TV car created by Dean Jeffries and the completely different showcar built by George Barris (contracted out by Jeffries who was swamped with painting Indy 500 cars which led to their rest of their lives feud) the Aurora/Polar Lights version was based on? Why do builders black panel wash chrome wheels when the wheels are clearly black with minimal chrome outlines around the edges of the 5 spokes? Doesn't anyone search for images of the car in the Petersen Musuem or the other in private ownership? I don't mean to troll you. I gave you "the like", but It bothers me the builds ( not just yours) are half hearted efforts with inaccurate results.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I agree with you; many builders tend to rush through projects and sometimes miss crucial details. However, it's important to note that model building often involves personal interpretation. This hobby is all about having fun, regardless of whether a builder aims for a high level of detail to honor the original or chooses to follow their own creative path. I spent hours poring over pictures and information about the actual car. Nevertheless, I know I will be building the new version of this kit, and this one was just to have some fun. The new version of this kit will receive the full treatment and attention to detail. By the way, the original engine block color is Turquoise. Thanks again for watching, and I hope you have a great week!
Thank you for sharing; For the lights, is that a Green Wash? Green Paint? custom mix? cheers.
Yes, it's really thin transparently green. So basically, a wash. Thanks for watching. Have a great week 😀
