Those double notes don't sound right to my ears. Msybe it's because they sound more prominent on round wound strings?!

I listened to the song again and they’re indeed there, but I guess they’re buried because the bass is mixed to fit in with the other instruments, plus the flatwound strings makes it darker and less noticeable.
