  • The Sway bar (anti-roll bar) is the part of the Automobile system that helps to reduce the effect of the Automobile body to roll over while cornering fast (high speed cornering) or while driving on different road irregularities .

Anti rollbar reduces grip in rear, but helps it rotate. This is why its easier to turn the car, if there was more grip at the rear, the car would understeer - but increasing the torsional resistance of the bar does the exact opposite.

I worked at the Monroe Mi. Ford motor company plant from 1977 to 2008 and worked in the Stabilizer department for about 20 years making sway bars we had four lines running about 400 bars per hour

@@bhagasasi425 I’m sorry I can’t really answer your question completely each sway bar was different I did different jobs in the sway bar department from being a bender operator to running a grommet machine I don’t know the exact materials used in the steel that would be a question for a material inspector most of my time working in sway bars I ran a grommet machine. I’m sorry I can’t answer your question more specifically. Thank you though for your question also it was a pretty tough place to work because coil springs and sway bars were pretty much next to each other 7 coil spring lines and 4 sway bar lines and they were heated red hot to form it would get brutally hot especially during the summer months I’m sorry for rambling the end. Thank you

It's more than the added resistance. That is why both wheels are connected: the idea is to have both suspensions doing similar things. If the outer wheel compresses in a corner, the inner wheel also compresses to reduce body roll.

Can u answer this brother, i need some explanation. Is more length off the swaybar link would make the car more stable at corner ? Is that correct?
Cause i just seeing adjustable swaybar link on the online shop. And i am curious the function of that thing.

@@ramadiagungerlianto5504 I assume you can only adjust stiffness, not lenght. Unless you're referring to the connection/fixation holes. As in: the closer the link is fixated to the swaybar, the harder it is to twist the swaybar, making the driving stiffer. As if you were using a longer wrench to untwist a screw vs using a shorter wrench.
