I camped in this exact same site this year. We did engineer pass in the wrong direction and stopped here for the night. We found this site on freecapsites.net or ioverlander I believe. It's at the end of a road that seems a bit strange to be camping since you drive through a neighborhood. I was a good spot for 3 or more rigs.

Attach trasharoo to the tailgate of the truck or the camper shell glass. Or.. build a mount off the front of the trailer.

Run a strap as a Y harness and hang The trasharoo from the luggage bars on top of the Tacoma. Let it hang on the side of the camper shell.

We're actually working on the tail gate GARB concept right now. Same idea, but wider and shorter.

Check Blue Ridge Overland I think they make a similar product as the trasharoo but I seen where they put a strap so it can go over the tail gate

At the end of the video you were traveling on what the TFL Truck guys call the Ike Gauntlet where they test new truck towing capability and fuel economy. It's no joke. :)

There are a few tailgate trash bags on the market but at $200+ they are out of my price range. If he already has a Trasharoo then you could probably make new longer straps for it with materials found at your local hardware store. Here is an example of a bag already on the market. overlandgearguy.com/products/truck-tailgate-trash-storage-bag

Hey mate not sure if you have heard of an Aussie overlanding manufacturing company called Drifta. They make a tailgate rubbish bag. Would suit the Tacoma. Link below
