- This episode's mission was to get to Racehorse Pass from the South side of the Livingstone Public Land Use Zone. Only to be turned around from snow that just seems to not want to go away.

That first camp spot looked amazing. Probably difficult to leave such a gem
Love that setup Todd has. Nice Rig!
was just down in the area this week for 3 days absolutely gorgeous
Oh the irony of a jeep guy wearing a shirt with a land cruiser on it.
Hopefully checking out this area in a few weeks.
totally awesome to see you guy out and about
Wow! Beauty of a spot!
Great video! Very entertaining 👍
Looked to be a fun trip. Beautiful
Nice trip guys! You made the right call when you didn’t cross the creek!!
Been doing some checking on the Crown land access in SK and will get back to you once I have more info.
Cheers!!
Great adventure and video, yet again! I’m at a loss - I complain about hauling a dinky little M101Cdn, and there’s Todd pulling a sizable Off Grid Trailer and making it look easy. From the looks of his rig, I’m guessing he has regeared. The trailer’s axle is way back too, so it probably shimmy and shakes a lot less. Nice. I was down that way last weekend but didn’t know where the heck to turnoff into Racehorse Creek so shot up to Dutch to find a last minute spot. It was a greasy drive up the mud road from the campsite after the storm Sat eve. Those water levels are intense, and I was worried just the same as you in middle of the night. Mass exodus Sunday am, but man I love the neighborhood. Regards, oh and I forgot to mention that the chow looked delicious.
Great video!! I mark your locations on my Scenic Maps APP for my next road trip from Ontario to BC. The trap looks like a Badger or Wolverine live trap. There was a study done in various parts of Alberta on the Wolverine and traps like that where built so they could tranquillize them for research, then place back in the trap with the door open so they would awake in a protected structure.
great vid and great videography
Nice! I'm starting to lose my mind here sitting in YYC waiting get out and about... Just not sure if I want to turn it into a 'task' (creating a video), or just just venture out and clear my mind for a while! Too bad the rains are moving in for the this weekend though, otherwise, I'm going to start on that GPS challenge of yours!
Your trap - it appears to be old so may either be a live trap for wolverine for biologists to do their study. A bit small for a bear trap but in the last century trappers did use these for bear. On my line I found a few that were very large - often 4' X 4' X 8' in size with no door. They were baited and large leg holds set inside for black and grizzly bears. I had one very near my cabin (and where the old cabin dating back to the 40's) was. As in those days garbage was not hauled out and bear like to snoop around it was obvious why this trap was so close. Nice area - will have to check some of these out.
my friend cappy when you drink good tequila like the one you had you do not chuck it it is meant to be drank like a good brandy or whiskey just a friendly tip great video keep em coming when you ever decide to come to baja give me a call will take you to awesome places and great

I will try and remember that. Thanks brother.
Underrated Cappy content👍🏻👍🏻;-)
Thanks eh!
We used to ride our RZRs over racehorse from Coleman but it was closed years ago got washed out. To my knowledge it is still closed but I could be wrong. I know all the trails and roads in that area.
Really nice. Cappy what lift do you have on your Jeep.? looks like you need to go up just a little 👊
I have a 2-1/2” lift kit and I just ordered a pair of rear HD Oldman Emu springs to help with my big heavy a.... I mean heavy end. LOL.
410 Expedition I have heavy OME springs on my 80 and they make a big difference.👊
It looks like to be a old badger trap
Researchers would make them also to trap and tag
Looks fun Cappy. Are you guys running up 40 or coming from the other way? Cheers!
I have a giant 4x4 van and I wouldn't pack that giant chair haha :)
hello cappy, i'm a first hour fan of your channel. great video and a great tour. we are overlander from germany and therefore also a jeep jk rig with roof tent. my question: do you stay in the tent with lightning and thunderstorms or do you go into the car. many greetings from Bavaria, Peter
Wolverine trap? can't think of anything that would need that much sidewall protection and too small for a bear?
What model is that Jayco trailer being towed by the Red Toyo @7:20 please?
What happened to your trailer?? Been looking for content on it
Sold it 2 years ago. Gone to another adventurous couple.
