There are good black men out here but y’all not checking for them. AND When y’all date out, a lot of y’all will date someone EXACTLY like the ones you turned away, but the only difference is that he’s a different race…? I.e. Black women will shun all nerdy black men and then marry a white nerd. Shit makes no sense.
Y’all have an inflated sense of entitlement when it comes to black men. Many black women run around giving black men prerequisites they have to meet but when it comes to Brad, “he loves me and he treats me nice and that’s why I love him 😊”.
While I acknowledge many of our women are combative and hard to get along with, I still want to marry a black woman and I refuse to marry out. I’ll work hard and sift through those undesirable women to find my queen. I know she’s out there in all her melanated beauty.

I think we need to stop pitting the bbl vs natural against each other because women that naturally look like they have the bbl (such as yourself) would still fall into the bbl category and it just ends up being a body shaming contest.
Why do we care who these men marry when majority are not a prize themselves? Being married does not equate to not settling. Being married should not be our source of validation. This is coming from a person that got married young and ended up divorcing 4 years later.
Women who are single with no kids are actually the happiest demographic of women. Not to say that there’s anything wrong with wanting to be married, but I think we should take a step back and not make/not make our own personal life decisions based on another potential person that’s statistically likely to decrease your happiness. Do it because you want to, don’t do it because you don’t want to. Not because of a man.
Lastly, if we’re being honest, I’d really rather fall into the kardashian category vs the average struggle love that the majority of our communities glorify.

This comment is specifically for the people in the comments section: It’s very easy to be critical of procedures when you have a body type that is accepted by society. Your struggle is absolutely heartbreaking and valid. However, your experience does not mean that you can understand having a body type that has never and will never be accepted (not slim… I’m speaking on the inverted triangle shaped girls who get called everything from ice cream cone, wine glass, refrigerator, badly built, linebacker etc). Men and women **both** humiliate us, and then turn around and judge us intensely for wanting to change something that has never and will never be accepted by the larger society. No, ridiculous BBLs are unnecessary but some of you need to hold your judgment. The same way I can’t tell you that your experience doesn’t matter because your body shape is accepted now, you don’t get to comment on how I should move in a world that is so undeniably cruel towards girls shaped like us. Forget the attention of men. Sometimes you have to do what you need to do to feel good about yourself, judgment aside

My heart goes out to her. My sister is shapely like her, more so bottom heavy. She has the type of body women always comment on and tell her they wish they had. But she’s literally harassed every day by BM. The clothes she chooses to wear are always baggy in an attempt to cover herself and avoid harassment. Every day she leaves the house, she’s hollered at, approached…and y’all know what happens when she ignores or declines attention. People have even been so bold as to grab or smack her and run off (we in NY so they wild out here). It breaks my heart especially bc I see how it’s shaped her whole demeanor and body language. My sister will shrink herself. She refuses to where AirPods bc she wants everyone to see her headphones so she can pretend she didn’t hear them..and a bunch of other tactics to avoid that kind of awful and at times scary attention. She’s is never really interested in dating BM bc of how they’ve conducted themselves around her or have treated her in the past - like an object or just a means of pleasing themselves. I’m sorry for the long post - but this is truly a problem and I pray for every woman out there who is dealing with this and every young woman on the other side who crave intimacy and genuine love from BM and think that acquiring this type of body will get that for them. I promise you, it’s not the type of attention you want. It may feel good initially but once you realize that the attention, “love” and praise you are getting and your worth and value are based on your appearance (to THEM. Your value is most definitely not based on that), then you will be disheartened. Their priorities are screwed and they have a lot of work and healing to do in their own regard. I just want y’all to know that you are deserving of unconditional love and positive regard no matter what. But your character, how you treat others, and the love you have developed for yourself first…that’s what’s truly important. and in my humble opinion, that will make your chances better at finding a DECENT person who will actually see you, for you, and treat you how you deserve to be treated. (yes there are cases where awful men fumble the bag and mess up a good thing - but that’s a completely different conversation and I’ve already said too much 😅). Have a good day 🤎🤎🤎

I just wish those that do decided to go the surgical route think about it twice. Yeah, it might be fun for you for a few days, weeks, even a few years but it'll run its cost. If I wear a medium it’s lose fitting in the back and if I wear a small it fits but is short. Also the crop top craze!
