MEEKA is the star of the show ! 60 yrs ago ( when my Dad's EH was new, and I was only 12 ) we ( Dad)drove that Holden across the country over the DIRT Eyre Hwy to Sydney. So I know an EH can make it, but ours was in better shape than yours !! We got to Sydney, turned around and drove it back to WA. The toughest challenge was the lack of service stations, back then, compared to now, and the car's tiny fuel tank ( about 12 gallons). We had to carry a lot of fuel cans with us, but the 179 didn't use any oil, or overheat. lucky coz Dad knew NOTHING about mechanical devices ! Good luck with your trip, it's bringing back a lot of fond memories of crossing our great country with basic Australian Built motor transport !
In the 80's I had a $80 red primer EH sedan that leaked oil so bad from the old 149 id run it dry often then my brother and his friend tried to blow it up by thrashing it down the coastal dunes area but it still ran. Red blocks!
geez guys, a nothing trip,, i drove in my 150 buck hd from the GC to northern WA in 19801, the sedan became a kennel for our dog when we landed. Harden up,, you got to much shit with you. just sayin.

Sounds like need to put set of points in. Static timing should make it sound better.
The termite mounds have a front and a back just like the trees, eh?
The back of the tree is where you'll find the toilet paper.
What kind of Toyota Landcruiser is that? :)
hey, not mention you had mostly tar seal
Don't matter if dirt or tar road trips are great
if the battery isn't charging, could of been your alternater.
The old EH Holdens had a DC generator unless it was converted to AC alternator.
