  • Race tech Part 2 Modification to Damper rods on Harley Davidson front fork overhaul.
In this video I show you everything you need to know about modifying your damper rods to work in together with the new Race Tech gold emulator valves. This particular install is on the 2017 Harley Davidson Fatbob FXDF, however similar principles apply. If you like this video, please like, subscribe and tick the bell for all updates to come your way. Thanks for watching, I really appreciate it! WESTY

I thought the RaceTech info was helpful. Video is better. Did you say what bike/model you’re working on? I’ll look at your other videos.
My problem was I did it like you did, but the bottom stop cap covered up most of the lower hole I drilled. 2012 Elec Glide.
I’ve yet to call RaceTech and ask them if I should move the holes further up.

@@rent2ownnz I’m going to do a YT vid on my experience with RT emulators. Not a how to… more of a how not to. And what to watch for that the tech page doesn’t fully explain.
      I’ll send a link later.

I must be the only one with questions... Some people say to plug the tiny hole at the top of the damper rod. Racetech says nothing. ???

At the Top? No. That is how the Racetech gets all of the oil feed to do its job ... from memory anyway.

@@rent2ownnz Thanks for reply. I did email Racetech tech service. They have been great to answer through this build. I sure hope the work on this is worth the ride.
Like a typical Harley dude, I had to detour and get the sliders and cans black powder coat. 😀
