Thank you Ramsey for such a beautiful first impression. You described everything perfectly.
Ambrosia stands for "the food of gods" as per Greek & Roman mythology.
Here in Ambrosia, 50% of the carrier that is just plain ethanol has been replaced with an ambergris tincture at 10% concentration. The ambergris used in Ambrosia is from Iceland. 10% of the carrier has replaced by castoreum tincture at 10% concentration. So, effectively, there is only 40% perfumers alcohol and rest is either fragrance concentrate or some kind of tincture.
Ambergris, as you rightly described comes from the sperm whales. It is formed in the guts of sperm whales but actually only 1% of the sperm whales are able to poop/vomit it out.
Oud here is a completely new and never ending topic. 😅
Ensar Oud, Bortnikoff, Sultan Pasha, Russian Adam, Taha etc are all my role models. Everything that I'm doing is because there fragrances have inspired me a lot. So, I don't take them or anyone to be my competition but rather they are my teachers.
The time taken and the efforts you put behind every video is highly appreciated brother. The fragcom is blessed to have you by there side. I wish you a speedy recovery my brother! Hope you get well soon and enjoy the fragrances in the best of your health. Thank you so much!! ✌️
@sherwoodparfums
Where can I order your fragrances from Europe? Got a website?
Thank you Prakhar for the extra detail... I love the food of the Gods bit 🤤
@RamseytheRam thank you so much brother!! 😇
@sherwoodparfums, I don't have IG, how can I order your perfumes?
@@gs8858
I asked the same question, no one cared to give me a bloody answer to that. Good news is I got to save my money.
The FBB (Free Bottle Brigade) is trying its best to hype up Navitus Parfums, Initio Parfums, PDM etc…. so that they can continue getting free bottles. But, here is a true authentic from the heart review of a true authentic from the heart perfume by Prakhar Gupta. This is the content we love to see and that’s why we flock to this channel.
Thank you Hari... I wish all of my regular Ram Fam could be in a conference room together sniffing these amazing compositions at once
One day when I win the lotto 💪🐏
Ramsey receives free bottles almost on a daily basis from people who bought them with their own money, while giving away free bottles for big houses is like peanuts. I find it even more concerning that Ramsey haven’t even made a single giveaway to his community. I find it quite sad and that being an avid subscriber.
It's fair to say that if at this point, you still fall for these OBVIOUS marketing platforms posing as perfum lovers, that's on you...Especially if you been at this hobby for over one year. That's my take on that
@@cayetano6547 well said. True perfume lovers buy the perfume they like , not what others want you to buy.
This was such a freaking amazing art piece…..eclipsing some of the Bortnikoffs, Areej & Ensars. I freaking loved it & ordered my backup bottle.
Smart man! I loved it as well Ajay and I feel blessed to get to know this piece of Art... i wish more of us frag heads could smell this! It is primo 🐳
Try his Paradise as well….that’s some damn awesome real oud frag for near $100 or under I think. I have 2 bottles of Paradise & Inexplicable: another one which is more pleasing & mesmerizing!!
So tempted. Ramsey's video will be the deciding factor!
If you get it do report back and let me know what you make of it ... I am in love with Ambrosia 😍
Thank you for all your excellent work
Thank you for being here with us Andy 🍻
In trying to develop my nose on ambergris, I tried quite a few fragrances that were supposed to highlight it, at the end I felt like I had a better idea, but it was still a fuzzy concept. Ambrosia made it crystal clear! I don't know how you come up with the descriptive stories you do, Ramsey, but you nailed it. What became apparent to me is that yes, there is a fragrance note that is associated with real ambergris, but there is another dimension or two on top of that, that is hard to quantify. It leaves an impression, it adds an effect, creates a feeling, for lack of better words...it sparkles, and it sparkles for miles!
Absolutely... very well said Jared, thanks for watching & commenting 🐳
Just ordered. Thank you Ram
Do send me your full report once you explore it! 😂😂😂
Happy New Year Ramsey !!!
Best wishes to you, your daughter and your parents.
Scent Of The Night : Salvador Dali - Pour Homme
Thank you Dušan.... same to you and your family 🎆🥳
Brand: "Would you like real ambergris in your perfume?" Me: "I sherwood." 😎
😂😂😂
Well done mate 🐳
And a lot of it here as well ... value for $ is through the roof IMHO for what you get ... this type of perfumery for 300 bucks doesnt exist anymore 🤌🤌🤌
whao Ramsey .. what the fragrance this might be.. one out of fifty bottles.. lucky you .. I would love to have a chance to smell this .. sounds incredible.. but far away from my nose .. ;) nais description as always , thanx !!
Good to see you Stefan 🍻
Love Sherwood underground true artist that’s still learning awesome!!!
This is his best work yet IMHO 💪🐏
Same goal for 2024. Veering out of most houses and focus on the ultra artisanal creations.
I always thought “Ambrosia “ is fruits-nectar centric blend, never amber!!
Hopefully there’s more chance to try. All out now. Thanks for the review, sounds incredible!
I got way more Ambergris not Amber per say.... but I love it... its backup bottle worthy... wish there were more than 50 bottles for the whole world 🙃
I have bottle 3/50 it really is good. Although I get more ambergris than anything else, which I love but I don’t detect the Oud in the same way you have. I have started to focus on perfumes from India as they totally suits my preference even though I am a country bumpkin living in rural England 😂 and you are correct that once you go down this road it is hard to go back. I do question putting bortnikoff in the same league though as his work seems to be always available so I can’t help but think the ingredients aren’t as rare/ expensive ? Maybe I’m wrong though
I have no clue how Bortnikoff keeps his stuff stocked... but I agree with your love of the Artisnal houses 💪🐏
Hey Ramsey because of you I literally unsubscribed from almost all other fragrance reviewers and purchased over 20 decants off of your words. Could you please do a review on Sherwood Parfums Gentleman (I have Gentleman & Paradise coming in the mail soon and would like to have an idea of how they wear but I am unsure if you have Paradise). Keep up the great work you changed the game for me!
Thank you for the kind words mate! Gentleman is on the list and it will probably be around summer of 2024 when a review comes out
Thanks so much for watching & being here with us 🙏🙏🙏
@@RamseytheRam Awesome, can't wait for that! I have no doubt that when more people start opening their eyes to reality, you will be one of the biggest in the game!
Thank you so much for reviewing and sharing your honest opinion! 🙃
Unfortunately I'm going to skip this one 😟😟😟💸💸💸, but definitely will keep an eye on the house.
The question is if it's a fermented oud type of scent or not? Yes, I got it that it's animalic which is fine, animalic scent profile can go different directions. But fermented oud that smells like a cow dung I can't stand, never liked the smell of cattle. Even taking in account that as a child I've spent many summer holidays in the countryside, that aroma has never appealed to me.
Not a true fermented oud accord.. not like a barnyard Indian oud if thats what you are asking .. in fact I would prefer it even MORE animalic... but that may cover up the beautiful Animalic Ambergris
Ok I see, yes that was my question. Thx
Of course you'd prefer more lololollool 🦨🦙🦫
What a beautiful review! This type of content is exclusive to this channel fortunately
Appreciate you being here with us brother 🙏🙏🙏
It's here! Oh man it's INSANE.
I have heard nothing but positive feedback...which is how I feel to .. the ambergris in it is primo 🐳
@@RamseytheRam I love real ambergris and it’s so hard to find- and even then sometimes it gets muffled in the composition, especially when paired with oud. The fact that the ambergris in this builds to a crescendo is genius.
@@rachemgot i agree.. still waiting for someone to be like "I hate it!" So I can get a back up 😅
@@RamseytheRam Hah, good luck with that! You know anyone who decided to get a bottle of this guards their collection like a dragon’s hoard.
I placed an order for Ambrosia yesterday and it should be getting to me in a couple of weeks.
Damn you jumped the gun 🔫😂
@ThePerfumeNerd
Could you please tell me where or and how to order this gem?
You have to send him a msg on IG ... Sherwood parfums .. he is still all enough that he doesnt have a website... YET
@@RamseytheRam
My bad, sry I didn't see this message yesterday. Didn't know you answered my question already. Thanks.
I usually find myself getting pulled towards buying expensive decants instead of full bottles of cheaper juices. I mean lets take ALD for example, I have been wearing the Antiquity for past couple days and I feel it's perfect in every way. I don't know how anything can top that. It's so opulent and multi dimensional and yet it rests in perfect harmony slowly revealing this creamy musky russian leather and a caramel like wild oud under the flovery veil and soft fuzzy peach just radiating peace and tranquility all over. Man is it large and not to mention it lasts over 24 hours on my skin.
There is a Japanese expression, 'Mon-Koh', which roughly translates to 'listening to incense', a process by which a fragrance's ingredients, origins and even its creator's intent, are gradually read like a story through patient attention, and when I place my mind in the middle of the fragrance it says "I love you." I think this is what Adam wanted to tell us, it feels so genuine and it really moves me. The absence of decadence shines trough loudly, unlike so many other perfumes that were intentionally created just to represent carnal desires free from any moral virtues.
I think we are stepping in to a beginning of new era of fragrances with these wonderful new houses. The love always wins and light casts away the shadows.
Thank's for the video and sorry for the essay.
Beautiful essay mate.. very very well said... Antiquity is one of my all time favorites 😊
😍😍😍
Amazing juice my friend... cant wait for you to get to try it 🙂
@@RamseytheRam me too 😊
I always love seeing reviews of fragrance from small perfumers using real ingredients, so thank you Ramz. The Free Bottle Brigade can dive into a lava pit filled with Aventus clones.
😂😂😂
Ugh Aventus clones... the bane of my existence
So is this just impossible to get now?
Well there were only 50 bottles made for the whole world... so you have to find someone that has one that is willing to sell
Hey Ram, a very happy new year .. curious to know..how would you compare this to Atlantic Ambergris by Areej Le dore
Atlantic Ambergris is much much heavier on the warm spices like nutmeg & cinnamon
The pine note stands out as an outlier in Atlantic Ambergris as well
Ambrosia is much more Ambergris & Oud and heavy on the French Iris in the First Hour with that Tobacco Ambery dry down
Both frags beautiful highlight the Ambergris Note ... & I would love to own a bottle of Atlantic Ambergris one day 🐳
@@RamseytheRam thanks Ram. Also have you heard of perfume brand by the name of Kashti. No experience on them personally but hearing good things on them as well.
@@DrBoombay86 i have not but I will put them on the never ending to sniff list 🐽
@@RamseytheRamtell me about it… it sure is a never ending list…help me out here man, how do you pick what to spray everyday from such a wide selection.
Where can I buy some
Hit him up on IG Sherwood parfums
How do you purchase from the brand?
Hit him up on IG
@@RamseytheRam thanks so much
The problem with the statement that it will blow up like Areej or Ensar, is that Sherwood is in India. There are many contradictions why it will never blow up like Ensar or Areej due to the demography
Probably true... but I feel like this house is an up and coming house to watch for sure 💪🐏
Just blind brought this based on this video. I hope you are right
Well there are 50 bottles for the whole world ... so the good news is if you dont have taste like mine I am sure you will be able to find a home for it
Hopefully it never comes to that and you love it 🤞
Bottle on the way...... your reputation is on the line.........
😂😂😂
If you like Real Oud and Ambergris and Real Iris & rare vetiver you will love it
If you dont love it my advice to you is to put it aside for a few months and come back to it
Many of the Artisnal frags I was on the fence about at first that lots of other folks loved like EO2 by Ensar... once I revisited them after some times its like the nose resets you know?
But you will love Ambrosia if you are into artisnal frags at all... this stuff is primo 🤌🤌🤌🤌🐳
Ah Dude this is exactly what makes Artisinal, well Artisinal I really want a bottle, had to set up a goddam Instagram account ,god help me and shot a message to Sherwood ,a too little too late kinda deal I fear, but I gave it a shot and let’s see what’s shaking 😊.much appreciate this one Rams cheers buddy great job 🙏✌️👍
Let me know how it shakes out... dont worry Bren I set up an IG acct just for this fragrance thing 😂😂😂
@@RamseytheRam lol I did successfully send on payment and details via PayPal so my dear Rams Mr Gupta had stock and hopefully old Bren will have his Ambrosia in due course Boom 💥 it’s oil so it should be good to fly into grubby little hand hahaha 😝
@@brenlynch4811 wow congrats! In on the ground floor Bren... do have your full report on my desk monday morning once you have had a chance to experience it 🙏😂
