i think the big issue is that happy chaos has the potential to be such a cool character in his design but most happy chaos mains are absolutely addicted to the boring as hell zoning mode
Not entirely wrong. Tho I think the same can be said for Axl being boring as well. A decent number of players I know like characters that can dominate a match. Zoning is Zoning at the end of the day.

HC mains are like Gio or Ram mains in that from start to finish they are in "If it works DO IT AGAIN"-mode.
I mean when I got no reversals at all, and one of the worst health pools in the game, why take risks when the only thing that breaks the zoning is your own bad execution/time?
as a chaos player i can u say that u pretty much got what there is to get in terms of why he is soo fun and interesting
but still the only true way to playing chaos is to play him rushdown

This video has brought me joy. I ONLY picked up Strive because of Chaos and have been maining him since then. I love his theme, I love his character, and practically everything about him. Very good summary of Chaos both gameplay/lore wise. We love our little devious gun-weilding demon boy.

I personally really like him, but If I had to nerf him, I'd say just remove the guard crush shit. Makes it so you'd have to actually think when you zone, and manage resources better.

Personally I love Happy's personality. I literally bought the game for him in story mode, regardless of whether he'd ever be playable or not. His absolute deviantArt OC gremlin energy is fantastic.
...sadly I'm terrible at anything more complicated than Ramlethal Unga Bunga so I can't play him to save my life, but I'm glad he exists.

All of his meaningful normals are high profile-able. If you have jumping moves at mid screen you’ll get counterhit because Chaos mains are greedy. Also avoid curse like your life depends on it because itbdoes

Further concept, the gun takes longer to aim, and is less accurate at distance (In game, the reticle spawns farther from you and moves toward you slower).
Steady aim does eleviate this, but it burns through concentration even quicker at longer distances. Meaning you can use steady aim to Indiana Jones the idiot who brought a sword to a gunfight from full screen, but you can't do it the whole match.

I used to play happy chaos before people understood that he is good, i love playing low tiers and he is easily my favourite character, but i feel guilty for playing him now, and besides the new tech is hard, so I'll just play goldlewis

@@BeatriceRenhart it's kinda hard to do that when people send hate messages to you for playing chaos and not even your friends want to play with you that much. He is the only fighting game character I feel comfortable with and now I know he will get nerfed. He will probably feel worst to play and I will just play characters that I don't like playing because it's the only way to please others instead of myself.

From my perspective, he's basically Duck Hunt from Smash Bros, except his "Can" is always on the opponent, and he needs to reload his guns. You know, basically like Duck Hunt.
Also, you realize perfection is impossible for everyone, right? I mean, that's why everyone has their own thing that they do that may or may not resonate with people, right? Of course you realize this, you're smarter, more mature, and you even have a CZcams channel to be able to do all of the analysis on everyone and everything you need to do. I play Faust, and it's a bad matchup, but I have massive normals so you'd think "Just dash block through and when I'm in range of 2H (not far slash cause you get no reward and 2P is faster but you also get no reward) just press that shit".
Problem is his 2S being faster having really good range and being *slightly* disjointed, I get counterhit cause it's 3 frames faster go back to fullscreen with 50% less Hp rinse and repeat.
I see this more as a Faust problem than a Happy chaos problem, cause why the fuck does it take 26 frames for an item to come out, if I could just gamble fullscreen while he is pretending that his name is "Shalashaska", Happy chaos could hate the matchup instead of ME hating the matchup.
Ya thats A Big issue with The HC Matchup is there is no Bad Range For Chaos to Exploit. So Being At Full Screen Should Be Somewhat Safe i Think fo most Characters
