I expect this mower will last several seasons with decent care. czcams.com/users/postUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend Also, I ran across the problem with it not starting the 2nd time I used it. There is a safety switch which is pushed in by the chute or mulching piece being attached to the deck. I took the cover off and it wouldn't start. Put it back on, no problem. It takes only a minute with 2 easily accessible wingnuts and no tools. This mower starts up first crank each time and it is a joy to use. It also mows in reverse by putting the key to the reverse area after starting and pushing in the triangular button. It will stay in reverse mode until you turn it off. All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.

Lightweight is good and what did I use it for it’s a lawnmower czcams.com/users/postUgkxTPN04aT-Qdjr_KS3ql7ng8wnU3wwsCqk also recommend Yes it is lightweight so hence not as robust as our old one. But if you take care it does the job really well.

One of my Gravely ZTRs with hydro-gear zt-3400 transaxles calls for 64oz of oil in each unit. However, to fill to the cold fill line a few more ounces are required to get up the connecting tube and into the bottom of the overflow reservoir. This little bit extra ends up being an issue when the hydros are working hard and heat the oil to the point of expansion beyond the top of the overflow expansion reservoirs. The expansion tanks are the same ones on different mower models and depending on location and length of the connecting tubes the cold fill line ought to be altered slightly. Just my personal opinion based on experience.

Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts, much appreciated! How’s your Gravely running otherwise?

I noticed both my tanks empty... I remember I had the mow jacked up in the front for 24hrs to remove and sharpen my blades. In this case, my oil level never returned until it was ran, then of course left to cool. THEN it went to the cold fill line.

Do the zero turn mowers actually have hydraulik drive? Or do they have a normal drive axle and transmission? Always wondered about that

Service mode is for women and children. Just like safety glasses and gloves.
Thanks for posting this video, it was quicker to watch this than to go dig out my manual.
I wasn't sure about what weight to use.

What happens if you put gas in hydraulic oil reservoir?

    • @DIYwithMichaelBorders
      @DIYwithMichaelBorders  Před 3 měsíci +1

Thanks for watching, we recommend removing the gas from hydraulic reservoir, as it can cause damage to hydraulic systems and lines.

Bought a 2020 ZT HD, has 8 hours on it. Went to check the hydro level today and couldn’t see a drop. No leaks either. What could be the cause?

I’m right there with ya, I have an hd as well. My right hydro has oil at the fill line but my left tank doesn’t? Don’t know what’s that about.

I have same issue and I’m wondering if the tanks were never filled. I see no oil leaks or stains in my shed where I always store it.

@@carchontides mine was the same way, they were at the corect level until i mowed once then when i rechecked them it was low, i dont think they fill it to the proper level at the dealership when they put them together.. or the manufacturer

You shouldn't have add any hydro oil . wouldn't that mean you have a leak

@@kevinkeller1979 No leak. Just wasn’t full at the time of purchase I believe. Had zero issues since.

Thanks for watching, The best thing to do is to refer to your owners manual on the exact make and model mower you have for the 100% correct guidance.
Our specific model requires oil to be present in the reservoirs. We hope the video helped. Please subscribe to the channel and ring your CZcams bell 🔔 this Will be very helpful to us thanks again!

Thanks for watching. The choke will need to be pushed in very soon after start-up. This will ensure that the fuel/air ratio is properly balanced.
