- I opened for Sinéad O'Connor at a cancer benefit concert several years ago. I never posted the video until just now. The video quality isn't great. But her voice is angelic. Here she is performing "Life on Mars" and "Sorrow" by David Bowie with Sons of the Silent Age at Metro Chicago in March 2016.

It's close to impossible to make a living from recording music these days. It's all about touring and merchandise, as any musician will tell you.
Sinéad❤was An Icon as A Singer & Culturally & Historically as Well. She CRUSHES'S Bowie's song! She was worth 1.5 million when she passed. She was getting on her feet again when tragically she lost her Beloved Shane who had her face. I hope Sinéad's❤records/Online are Selling Big time! That'd Make her happy bc the money will go to her Beloved 3 children. I love Sinéad❤❤❤Forever. She was Incredibly Brave!

Yes indeed. I always loved her and Lion and the Cobra and I do Not Want What I Haven't Got but I've been listening to EVVVVERYTHING , watching interviews, every performance and just crying .
I feel very sad she’s gone. She represented so much to me. I didn’t even realize I would feel this way. It’s like a piece of the world has gone and it can’t ever be the same. We’ve lost too many greats the last few years

Sons of the Silent Age are awesome. I’ve seen this Bowie tribute band at the Metro in Chicago multiple times, sadly I was not at this show when Sinead performed with them. RIP Sinead you will be missed by many.

So many teenage memories listening to these iconic songs on cassette growing up in the u.k.
So much better than what the americans did with Lady Gaga, insulting bowies memory.
This was performed as a Bowie tribute. It raised funds for pediatric cancer in his memory.

@@AMEER-114- it was already posted online at the time it happened from other people. This is just my personal video. I hadn’t watched it until now. And I discovered that the audio is better in mine than a lot of the recordings that were taken closer to the stage.
