If you were on my team and you thought hitting someone "mildly" then apologizing is ok, then I would hit you back twice as hard, then apologize as well, and make you realize that apologies don't excuse stupid actions.

The blow doesn't meet a condition that it need a "Zanshin"(Simply put,Zanshin is to Keep an eye on his opponent.Strictly speaking,it contains a variety of elements.) Second,player is allowed attacking only 1 time after ref said "Yame!"(it means "stop!")by its rule. Therefore,black robe attack after ref said "Yame!"is allowed as well. (Sorry for my poor English)
