Do you know the true meaning of Indianess ? See most of these Masters are Muslim by religious identity. Yet they are the ones who are blessed by Devi Swaraswati, as her worthy desiple. And they also pay their obeisance to Devi Swaraswati, and privately do her Puja, before touching their instruments or riywaz. At the same time also do their namaz in time. An Indian unlike an Arab can encompass both at the same time. That is the tradition of this sub continent.

take a week off from all the modern music and when you feel in peace tune to this .
Its miracle . Cool down your system makes you feel for powerful and energetic
also helps in mediation But i like flute better when it comes to Melody Sitar is more kinda peace and staying into one oblivion of music where as flute makes you travel to place where cool breeze flows grass is greener animals are playing
everything that makes you smile .
Indian classic music is a gem we Indians have with us we should not make it lost .
Already Britishers and medieval times Emperor have make us suffer and forget all our intelligent lifestyle .

Vilayat once more proves why he is the greatest sitarist in the present recital he is nowhere near his peak form but still observe his technical skill and beautiful romantic temperment which cannot be matched by any other sitarists actually vilayat was an incarnation of Gandharva who by chance visited this world now it is for us to preserve and worship him

always fantastic! Thanks to Beatles and to Ravi Shankar to have introduced me, long time ago, to India classical music. Bhairave and Kirwani are my preferred ragas. Vilayat Khan is a great sitar maesto. Best on not best, it's really not important.
