I am going to keep it simple. The SL-41 mk2 is insanely good. Take the Simgot SuperMix4 and add more devastating sub bass and a grander soundstage and you've got this IEM. Compared to its sibling the CKLVX D41, it has more sub bass, less mid bass and a cleaner, larger overall presentation. I love the D41 and the SM4, but the SL41 mk2 just takes it to the next level for me... In a nutshell it just rocks.

Happy Father's Day to you as well! I have a 12 year old (girl) and a 8 year old (boy). Yeah, I think that's probably the best Father's Day present: alone time. 😁 My wife always wants a clean house on Mother's Day and I think that present is significantly more challenging. 😂
Aliexpress giving no mercy and no wallet recoup time this month with the sales. I was a little surprised to see a sale again so soon.
The SL41 sounds like another awesome choice. 🙂 I won't be getting in this time around for sure but definitely one to keep in mind in a future sale cycle.

Just got mine yesterday. Oh my...it just sounds so natural and timbre is excellent. Sense of space is great and very comparable with the Dusk. Tech-wise, it isn't the strongest but I really don't care when the tuning is this good!
Agree with you 100%. This is not a detail beast, but I do like the definition in the lower frequencies and that sub bass is something special. Glad you are enjoying yours too!
@bassdad8 I need this rumble in my life. Gonna be awhile but you've just upsold me from the D41/Pula with all that subBASS and Soundstage talk. Too many people don't realize bass actually has details too! The kind that warn the soul not hurt the head! Hope Meyer is hooking you up. 😜

@@BassDad8 They are a fantastic value! Excellent sound for roughly thirty dollars. I have heard them described as a better 7hz Zero and I would say that is pretty accurate. After listening to them myself this morning (I'm wearing them as I do household chores) I am VERY pleased with them so far. I'm using them with the Periodic Audio Rhodium dongle dac. If you are a fan of the 7hz Zero then the Q1 Pro's are a definite step up. They are very clear and smooth with out harshness on the high end. Bass seems clean and accurate without being overbearing. I am pretty new to the addiction err.. I mean hobby lol and am still learning the basics but I don't think you can go wrong with this set especially at the price point in my humble opinion.
@@j.w.s.743 Nice. I am an earphone wearing chore-doer myself. You know I was going to spring for the $100 K5 at some point, but I think I’ll take your advice and try the Q1 pro first. EPZ has a very broad spectrum price-wise so starting with a good “value” set makes sense. I do really like their collab with Tipsy, so I’m guessing I will like the Q1 pro. Thank you! I think with new IEMs, we are seeing a subtle evolution in tunings especially around uppermids and treble.
So the Pula PA02 and CKLVX D41 are the twins. The SL41 II is its own set. The main difference being the tuning as you said and the Knowles drivers replacing the customs for the mids. And to your point, there seems to be diverging paths in the evolution of tunings right now. Some are going the Fat Freq Scarlett Mini route and really emphasizing the quantity and quality of bass response, while others are going for the ear gain to mid treble side. It’s pretty interesting and also very cool that you picked up on it. I’m just starting to recognize it myself! ☮️
Yeah they are starting to westernize the tunings, less "female poison" pinna gain daggers.

So I have Decks Dark, All I Need and Subterranean Homesick Alien on my test track list SHA is my go to to check atmospherics and soundstage. And you are correct. Trippy AF. Good call!
What eartips do you think goes well with it? I just ordered mine in blue today! And how does it compares to the relentless?
I used the Sedna Crystal tips the most, but Divinus velvet were equally as good and even some stock “balanced” Kinera silicon tips worked just fine. It doesn’t seem to be super tip sensitive, although I’d stick to normal to wider bore if possible. The bass on the relentless is absolutely stunning. Take the mid bass of the D41 and combine it with the sub bass on the SL41 and then crank it up by a decibel or two and you have the relentless. I am a basshead but sometimes it was a bit over the top even for me. The Quality is there though. I just really like how the bass on the Sliivo digs so deep and then clears out for the mid range so cleanly. It’s a really cool experience. Did I wish for a little more mid bass at times? Yes. But not to the point where I’d fault the set for not having enough. It’s just different. Which is nice.

My Mk2 had a very loose connection. If I held them up and shook them a little they would fall out. Had to return them. They sounded great !
Wow! I am really sorry to hear that. I wonder if a mk 1 made it to you in the mk 2 package somehow… the fit at the connection point on my set was so “precise” that I literally could not get more than a few cables to fit in it. And not one of my 3.5 terminated cables did. I spent over an hour shaving small bits of plastic off of one so that I could even take a measurement. Pain in my … luckily a few of my 4.4s worked fine as did the stock cable of course. So that is the interesting. 🧐 Sorry you had to send them back.
@@BassDad8 it was the mk2 with the recessed 2 pin. I also returned a D41 for other reason . Was gonna get the SLT6 but now...... Watch Tone Deaf Monks latest.

Wish they'd had better coverage when it was first released, and even now their SLT6 remains woefully under-reviewed...
They may be sending me the SLT6… hopefully. Or it might be something new. I’m not sure, but I’m sure whatever it is, it’s gonna be good. Good people too. I mean super nice. That’s one of the reasons I have no problem hyping their earphones. That matters. And they’re not engaging in any sneaky stealth revisions. Everything is right there on the table. I respect that.
