- In this game of Civ 6, we’ll be playing as Rough Rider Teddy’s America, and I’ll be showing off one of the most broken strategy combinations in Civ 6 right now.
Bull Moose Teddy rightfully gets most of the attention due to his amazing science and culture generation but sit on Rough Rider at your peril. Using this combo, the entire world will be bending to your whims in no time.

Sid Meier calculated the value of early game diplo favor versus gold. Early game gold is very valuable relative to later on. Kinda like compound interest...kinda like gold-per-turn. Sid Meier is genius, don't question his calculations! Take the cheap early diplo favor if you want. Sid is infallible.

I love envoy strats. Super OP because the AI can't play that game well but I don't care, it's just so much fun!
I can't blame you for continuing to push for Himiko, the temptation to grab an early Hercules to rush districts in the capital while you continue to dig would have been too hard for me to resist though.
On an unrelated note, I just thought it would be a fun addition to Amani if her Messenger ability also had a function where assigning her to an AI city improved your relationship level with them.

I have a love hate relationship with diplo victory. Whenever I choose it as my primary win con the game feels a little boring. When I am going for culture and have a bad start however. It's great as a back up win con.
Going high diplo at the very least means huge gold if you sell off the favour. Not always the best idea but very versitile !

Double envoys are just delightfully funny to play. With Georgia I had like 30 envoys in every city state.
Georgia is a very fun way to play this game!
It's CIV-6, where you can win by not buying cheap diplo-favor, but buy a ridiculously overpriced relic for no-good-reason instead.
Sid Meier is a genius: make the game fun, because fun is good, and good is fun.
I know that the city is named after the President and not the state. But as a Washington native, that was by far, the best pronunciation I have ever heard, bar none!

Combining Crassus' ability, with Vatican's religion spreading, with Religious Unity, is such a good example of how powerful things can be when you use their synergies well. Alone, those three are considered quite weak, but together it's basically an envoy bomb that you can use anywhere. Even without Roosevelt Corollary it'd still be extremely powerful.

very true about sticking to a strategy, I got an isolated Genghis Khan start with some pretty good holy sites near rivers, with the "Deels and Throat Singing" achievement on my mind I went for a culture victory, no war and won on turn 198 and got the achievement :D

Chops and Magnus is a great strat, always approve of that!
Settling on the marsh tile would have been even better than where you initially settled, since you wouldn't have to buy the 2-2 stone tile. So you can basically afk your citizen management for the first two pops of the city. You don't want to work a 3 food marsh tile anyway.
Ah yes, the fabled Himiko gambit. I never got that to work with me when playing such a city-state based civ

I think you actually cost yourself good tiles by moving since you have a large mountain range in your second ring now, but the game is super easy anyways and even more so with SS and HL Mode On.
