    Hello, I've seen many recipes where the water is boiled, and the flour added to boiling water. What is the benefit of this, this is used for bajra roti, can this method be applied to these roti's?

    Ingredients:
    Soya Flour - 1.25 Cups / 105gms
    Brown/White Rice Flour - 1 Cup / 125gms
    Tapioca Starch - 1 Cup / 155gms
    Potato Starch - 1 Cup / 110gms
    Alternatives:
    For Soya Flour:
    * Besan/ Gram Flour
    * Rajma/Red Kidney Flour
    * Kala Channa/Sattu/
    Chickpea Flour
    * Quinoa Flour
    For Potato Starch
    * Corn Starch
    * Arrowroot Starch
    * Add a mashed potato while kneading the dough with other 3 flours mix

    Looks yum! How hot should your pan be please? I have a gas stove top so should it be on medium, or medium-high, or ?

      Check the hotness by keeping ur palm at 2-3inches from the pan, for a couple of secs, it should feel hot, but not fuming...roast one side, and wait for 30secs or so before tossing it over

    I don't even know how to make a perfect roti from normal flour so is that possible for me to make roti from gluten free flour i mean in short I don't even know the ABC of roti ...but except roti i can make every single dish...can u please give me any tip how to make perfect soft roti ...luv from Pakistan ❤️

      U may watch the video and should be able to make..just one suggestion for the gluten free flour, knead only as much as is required coz it can't be stored for later use...it becomes very watery and sticky, non-pliable to work with

    I finally collected all 4 flours (substituting Besan instead of soya flour) and it completely fell apart like a cookie when trying to roll :( None of the flours bind together very well I'm so sad I spent so much money collecting the 4 flours :(

      Did you try kneading the flour with hot water? Also, with besan, you will get a little hard dough, and hard roti. However, the dough should bind well, if kneaded with hot water, not warm or room temperature.

      I can give you the best recepie and chapati would taste just like normal wheat one. My daughter was diagnosed 2 years ago she is 16 and finally she can have tasty and healthy roti. Let me know I can send u the recipe thanks

      Did u try kneading with hot water? If so, add a little more dry flour and keep kneading it until it is no longer sticky...but don't add too much dry flour, as the dough will start cracking from the sides while rolling

      I haven't used xanthan Gum in this recipe..soy is a high protein flour with starches in this recipe, act as binding agents

      @@DNuttyGrains Thank you! I tried it with King Arthur's Gluten Free Flour and sadly it didn't turn out like yours. It didn't puff up at all. I only used a half cup of water but had to add more flour because the dough was quite wet and sticky.

      @@lizn9324 if the flour combination is heavy then it will not puff up. Also, whenever u knead, use boiling hot water and fork to combine, so not to burn ur hands..once slightly cool, then use ur hands to knead it for a minute 👍

      @@DNuttyGrains Gotcha! Thanks so much for the tip! I rolled it out pretty thin and at first it would fall apart when I tried to pick it up. So I thought dough was too wet so I added more flour. How should the dough feel? A little we and sticky? The gluten free flour I used has mostly rice and brown rice flour with sorghum, tapioca flour. Maybe I need to add baking powder next time. What do you think? 😊

      @@lizn9324 no , pls try kneading with hot water and the dough shouldn't be sticky or wet..if the rolled out though breaks while lifting, roll it bk into a ball and re-roll it by adding some dry flour ...

      Even mine is yellow in color but when u mix with brown rice and starches, the flour mix becomes cream colour

      Are you using the same flour combination? Also, you would require to use hot water to bring the flour together, to form a dough and then knead it for about 30-40 seconds.

    Not a helpful video at all. The point is what is the flour made of. Everyone know how to make a roti but for gluetin free, it’s important to know the flour used and how roti is not breaking. What binding agent was used
